Trading deadline coming up who should we target
There are a couple of interesting players out there that can be had. I read where Budinger is falling out of the lineup because of Parson's play. Maybe even Micheal Beasley from the Wolves as their announcers were so overwhelmed with Diaw's play maybe they might take a chance on him and Love in the frontcourt. Maybe even get Jamison from Cleveland ahead of free agency this summer.
I wouldn't hold my breath. I don't think we are at a point where a trade for anything but draft picks make sense. Especially on Jamison. Even if they want him, they would wait till free agency as he is practically begging Charlotte to sign him. No need to lose any assets.
Budinger would be a nice backup behind Mags. UPS isn't bad but he doesn't have the range like Bud. Jamison is going to be a wash as his contract expires just like Diaw's just at a more expensive price tag. I think we first need is to trade DJ, if we not trade him, he walk away this summer, so we need get something. So trade DJ plus bad contract, to picks/expiring contract.
Just to clarify it's not certain he walks away for nothing. He will be a RFA and we have the right to match any offer.
Whether we will or not is another question.
