dunk contest seems weak this year. guess they decided to stop building on the momentum of the past couple of years.
random fact: Gerald Henderson beat Chase Budinger in the McDonald's All-American Dunk contest or whatever it's called.
Let's use this thread to discuss all the activity for All-star weekend.
We have the Rising stars game, the skills challenge, 3 point contest, the dunk contest and we'll get to see Gana Diop make his 3rd consecutive start at center for the eastern conference.....I could barely write that last part with a straight face. That is probably the only time that you've seen the words 'Diop' and 'All-Star' in the same sentence.

at the half for celebrity game, our Sec of Education Arne Duncan looking good for the East. East has 48 pts. If the score 100, maybe we should pickup a player or two from them, lol
I don't know if it's just me, but I feel like the most exciting part of All-Star Weekend is now the "Rookie/Sophomore" game or whatever they call it. It used to be the Dunk Contest, but it's kind of anti-climatic now and leans towards props and stuff that doesn't do it for me like the older dunk contests with MJ, Dominique, JR Rider, Skywalker, etc. I know there's NO defense in the Rising Stars game, but I have enjoyed the game over the past few years. The All-Star game itself is such a popularity contest anyway, that 60% of the game has the same players in it year after year.
