Very awesome. I'm starting to believe more in Davis's offensive abilities. He just doesn't have to show much for Kentucky. It makes sense for him to focus on defense and offensive rebounding with all of that firepower for the Wildcats.

One issue: Initially, will there be enough weight between the two of them? Davis will have some difficulty with stronger bigs on the low block. I've seen individual plays in college where he got pushed around by stronger guys. As a thin rookie, his greater value will likely be as a HELP defender and slippery offensive rebounder.

Contrast Davis with Sullinger. Sullinger has all the bulk you need, along with refined offensive skills. In that sense he "fits" with Biyombo. He's sort of the opposite of Davis. But athletes will be gliding by and over Sullinger on a regular basis. Davis, with his enourmous potential, makes more sense for the long haul.

I'm still not sold on Davis' offense. Sure he had a 28 point game recently... but that could have been luck. Everytime I've seen him try something outside of 2 feet, it hasn't just been missed, but god awfully missed. Thats not saying he can't learn, because you can obviously see his comfort level with the ball in his hands. I hate the idea of having not one but 2 offensively incompetent big men starting. Somebody has to put the ball in the basket. that said with our shooting woes, we could start seeing a ton more put back dunks from those two monsters.

That bit o' negativity out of the way. The idea of Biyombo and Davis starting together defensively is crazy exciting. two very young guys who both already have an other worldly defensive ability... scary. The potential is amazing.

I would really love that pairing. They would be kind of like the twin towers in Ol San Antonia. They may need some time to find that offensive niche but their defense makes up for all that in the mean time.

swat city. they'd also be a nightmare on the offensive glass and hopefully also develop pretty good pick and roll skills down the road. two good character guys who don't mind doing the dirty work.

I would love to have those two with a back court of Kemba and say J Crawford with Hendo playing s/f . Playing two guards who could create thair on shots and a solid S/F . Those two could kill the offencive glass. I not saying get Crawford but add a person who can score . To those three. We would be competive every night

After watching last night's game I am beginning to warm to the idea of Davis. If he was in the lineup instead of fat ass Diaw, he would have given us a lot more defense, which apparently Biyombo can't do by himself, and when he goes out, there's no one else on the roster who scares people away from penetration. And Biyombo's post defense on Monroe was awesome when he was in there. Having two guys with that capability would be pretty nice...

Hate to say it but SMACK is the defencive ankor on this team being a rookie . Sad to say but very true.. He could end up being the best Bobcats pick so far . Im starting to see little flashes of offence all so.
