T-Will would be a good pick up also, no doubt. But Oden, if healthy, can be a difference maker if he could even get close to his potential. But I agree that would be a big "if" given his health.

Oden has already said that he wont be ready to play until 2013. Not worth going after him at this point.

Oden has played 82 games since he has been drafted. Why would we sign him? His legs are two different sizes and he is practically made of glass. Just doesnt seem smart.

If we really want to roll the dice, we should buyout Boris, cut MJ's godson, and sign Oden + T-Williams on the slim miracle that Greg will someday play again and Williams will live up to his potential.

I just think financially that Oden is the smartest move. A big man with some obvious health problems is still worth more than a bust SF and a 95 year old point guard. Oden singing wouldn't even be about adding basketball talent to this roster as it would be acquiring assets. There is a 7 foot, #1 overall draft pick available for minimum salary, who is hankered by health more so than lack of talent. It's like taking a flyer on Sean Livingston only better. We aren't even close to being in the business of winning championships. Right now we are in the business of acquiring young talented assets and Oden is the best value on the market right now.

we are trying to obtain assets, we are not in the rehab or miracle business. we barely develop the players we already got. No quick moves to get either. Not going to waste money by waiving an already guaranteed contract to go waiver shopping.

In absolutely no way should we sign Greg Oden.
