Eh, that's a stretch. First of all, like it or not, it looks like Stephen Silas is going to get a go at head coach next year. Secondly, we really don't have the pieces to run his offense. If we got Nash on board, it would be worth it, but that's incredibly unlikely.
As long as we're making "what-if" threads, what do you guys think about Oden? Sure there's a good chance his career is over, but if we could sign him for cheap, with an incentive laden contract that rewarded him for games played, he could be an interesting player to have in our back pocket going forward. Even if he was only healthy enough to play 12-16 minutes a game, he would be worth a cheap deal.
Not gonna happen, but an interesting thought.
P.S. I think Nate McMillan is more likely than D'Antoni.
