I really like his game. He is somebody I would love to get with a late pick in the 1st round. He has AMAZING court vision which I think will help him alot when surrounded by great talent. He's not the most athletic guy on the court but he knows how to be a true pure PG. The Mark Jackson kind of player.

I like his game a lot to. However i Don't see him going late first round, more late lottery or late teens. However, with his broken wrist and him being out of the Ncaa tourney he migh, just maybe drop but i still doubt it. However, can we afford to keep drafting Point Guards? I can just imagine that we will be in the situation all over again. Is Kendall our future Point is or Kemba? who should we trade, who should we keep.

If we are in the mood of rebuilding and we are not going to rush anything, might as well put him on board. Create a competition between the 2 for the starting job. Each brings a different approach to the game. If we are going to play a bigger point that uses power to post up Kemba, why not have somebody that can bring off the bench to counter that. Vice verse with speed. We are still going to have a couple losing seasons to get some high draft picks anyways. I like the idea of when we finally do have those pieces in place to make a run, i like the options of plugging in either Kemba or Marshall that best suits this team.

In an ideal world that sounds great and i would like that but we didnt do that with Ray/DJ and it looks like we might sign DJ long term in the summer

Who will be the better Point Guard in the NBA-- Marshall or Kemba Walker ?

Perhaps I'm being too optimistic, but, as stated elsewhere, I think we could do a 3-guard rotation of 6'4" Marshall, 6'0" Kemba, and 6'5" Hendo.

HOWEVER

A. While Marshall had a nice 3-point % this year, he's probably not a high volume shotmaker. So that rotation would be lacking in shooting range.

B. Also, of course, Marshall's not a terrific physical specimen. So ALONG WITH Kendall, I'd prefer to add a deep shooter and/or true NBA athlete.

How about Marshall with one of the following......

Barnes--Nails 3's. Not a below-average athlete.

Drummond---If he slips to a lower pick. True NBA specimen who would immensely benefit from Marshall's passing.

Sullinger---A good perimeter shot for a big, among other skills. But then you're adding 2 athletically limited players.

Beal or Lamb--Obvious shooting/scoring strengths and acceptable athleticism, but then you'd have a youth logjam in the backcourt.

T Zeller--Decent enough athlete with some ability to put the ball in the hole...maybe even out to 17 feet. Just not a super high value pick.

I love Kendall Marshall's game. But alone, I'm not sure if he would be a great fit for the bobcats. Like Veteran_Picksetter said, he'd definately have to be paired with someone else, whether it be a trade for another incoming rookie or a veteran who actually produces (Antwan Jamison may possibly fit this role). Overall, I'd like to have him but I don't think he would be an immediate franchise changer by himself. If we were to draft a PG I'd go for Damian Lillard. 6'2", athletic, and scores the ball efficiently.

By him I'm assuming you mean Marshall. If possible Kidd-Gilchrist. More realistically Beal or Lamb. Overall someone who can score the basketball is what we need. If we can get that, I'd love to see Marshall here. He definately won't be as flashy as Rondo but I can see him getting Rondo-ish stats is a couple of years. The type that doesn't have to score to be the most important player on the court. Y'know?
