Kemba Starting Over DJ?

I'll admit that I haven't been able to watch many Bobcats games this season because I live in Greenville, NC... and Suddenlink cable only gets FS Carolinas, which is always the Hurricanes. We don't get SportSouth... I hate that. But I have been able to see a few games on the computer, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think at this point, DJ is better than Kemba. DJ is a better shooter, and has more experience. I know we drafted Kemba to take over, but what little I've seen of him, he's struggled... but there are some flashes of incredible talent on his part. Are we of the mindset that better or not, we need to start Kemba because he is the future, and this season is over anyway?

I will correct you since you are wrong. I'm kidding. DJ probably is a little tiny incy wincy bit better than Kemba right now. But DJ has been in the league for 4 years now and Kemba is miles ahead of where DJ was at the same point. With the aching knee of DJ starting to linger, the season all but over anyway and Kembas age... its time to move forward on Project Kemba. Kemba has had his struggles no doubt, but I think in the few wins we have this year... Kemba has been the better point guard imo.

As I said earlier, I'm for this. If Augustin isn't going to be here beyond this year (and it looks that way), we need to see how Kemba works as a starter.

I've been wondering this for a couple of weeks now but thought it was too far fetched to throw out there but here goes: With DJs play recently, is it really possible that the best offer he can get as a free agent this summer is so far below what the Cats offered back in January that he decides to work on getting healthy & come back here on his one year tendered offer of 4.4 million? He may still get an OK offer elsewhere but it may be on a team with a starting PG cemented in already so he knows he would be a backup for the term of his contract. Here he can still compete with Kemba, log solid minutes & be the main guy if Kemba hits a sophmore slump or gets injured. Still seems unlikely but if he continues to play like this, his stock isn't going anywhere.
