Default MJ Planning Exit Strategy If Team Doesn't Turn It Around

    http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/ba...sEnabled=false

Wow. For all the crap I've gotten for my pessimism regarding our team... What do you know? More negativity staring us in the face.

If MJ leaves I don't ever see this getting turned around. Not because MJ is such a great owner, but that would be two owners that gave up on this team and after that I think it would just continue for 18-20 years until one could pay to relocate. Really disappointing to hear this.

If he didn't want to lose money and fan interest, you don't pull legendary moves like trading for the "dust chip."

Might he sell if he gets in a position financially that he can't take? Sure, anyone would. Time will tell if this is true, but there's an awful lot of "if" and "maybe" involved in this report. Not to mention that this article says Jordan recently told Cho to start rebuilding when the ESPN article said that Cho practically made it a condition of him taking the job in the first place. This report is just a bit curious to me given the ESPN piece (where Jordan and everyone involved telling Cho they're willing to go this route) and the time frame the Thunder took to be successful, which was about four years. So, he'd give up on the team at about the same time they'd be looking to be successful? Doesn't quite add up to me.

Either way, whatever will happen will happen. We have no control over it, so no need to fret, I say. I'll also offer that the glass can be half-full, too, you know? Give that look a shot every once in a while, if for nothing else than gits and shiggles.

In other news Bat Boy is real!!

Elvis is definitely alive in Georgia.

and recently a nun found a picture of jesus in her toast.

NYDaily News is a tabloid. Notice the use of "Jordan recently told an associate" Who exactly is that associate? Maybe an imaginary friend? Its a total bunk story. We are talking about a paper that once used the headline "The Weiner works, his wife's preggers" when reporting on the Anthony Weiner story.

In your never ending quest to turn every thing into a negative, you've been duped.

by the way, Pippa Middleton is really a man "according to an associate close to the situation"

I'm not on a never ending quest to turn everything into a negative. Our team has 7 wins, there isn't much of a "quest" required to find negativity.

It may be a tabloid, but do you think it is totally unrealistic that MJ would be looking to sell the team when he's losing money? He hates to lose when it doesn't involve money, so how do you think he feels about his current situation?

Yes, there are some questionable references in that piece, but it was linked from Inside Hoops, I didn't search it out.

you didnt search it out, but you sure couldn't wait to post it. Yes we arent very good and negativity is at an all time high with 7 wins, so why do you post tabloid articles in an effort to bring even more negativity?

Its a bunk piece thats all there is to it. It is completely fabricated. It has the same validity that a National Enquirer article has.

and like Scottly said... it doesnt even really make any sense. Jordan told Cho to build it like Oklahoma City. Shocking statement there...hey new GM, build us like the best team in basketball right now please. silly.

You're damn straight I couldn't wait to post it, because I haven't read anywhere else that MJ was planning to sell. I would think that is some pertinent information that Bobcats fans would find relevant, and if it was true, would be a major concern for our fanbase.

I'm really growing disappointed with a majority of this board. If I didn't care about the team, I wouldn't even be wasting my time posting here right now. Forgive me if I'm not posting sunshine, rainbows, and unicorns. Our team sucks. It has sucked since inception. Our only playoff appearance was an embarrassment. I haven't been able to watch our team on television, except for one year, thanks to our awesome and caring management.

I understand we have to rebuild and that's not an easy thing to do, but the only thing you have to judge a person or team on is their past, so until we're presented with evidence showing we know what the f*ck we're doing, I'm going to expect more of the same.

We all knew the team would suck. Better or worse tho we hired Cho to rebuild. There is no way to judge this or to discount it for like 3/4 years so bitching and complaining along the way is pretty pointless.

Diddy since you point out the history you should be excited about the rebuild. I agree we've been beyond dismal in trying to initially build a team; what we're doing now is a total opposite of the previous "plan".

Let your unicorns and rainbows be finding promise in the new guys and the soon to be new guys just like a lot of us have. Let this one play out...maybe it'll work. At the least have hope because it's Cho it doing vs. Higgins/Jordan.

I trust Cho. But some help from the Basketball Gods would be nice. Maybe Davis in 2012 Draft and Muhammad in 2013 Draft? Now that would be a turn around to rival the Oklahoma City turn around.

I'd be disappointed if he wasn't always weighing options. Business guys are supposed to work for the best but plan for the worst.

That said, there is no way Jordan is already eyeing the exits. He's barely been in the seat long enough to get a grove in his chair. He's too competitive to pull the plug quickly. Pretty sure his gambling record indicates his willingness to lose money for a certain period of time.

I do Spec, I'm looking forward to what we do under Cho. But still, I get concerned that MJ/Higgins won't let him do what we need done sometimes and the things that have happened thus far have been so humiliating and disheartening, it's hard to imagine that all changes with one guy.

Any negativity I project isn't in regards to the future, it stems from the past and this year has just kind of been the tipping point to me.
