    Default Trading Back

so say we got the 2 or 3 pick. Would you trade it back for Portland's 6 and 11 pick? I reckon i would because in my eyes outside of Davis the rest of the lottery is relatively close

IF we had #2 or #3, then Yes. I would trade back for #6 and #11. Not if we had #1 though, as I covet Anthony Davis for the Bobcats. But MKG, Drummond, etc... are not nearly as valuable to me as having 2 picks in the Lottery.

i would only do it if we could trade back and get drummond. like if portland worked out to the 4th pick and we had the 2nd or 3rd and were assured the team ahead of us would not take him.

i have convinced myself that outside of davis he is the only other draftee with the potential to be a franchise/ticket seller type player. that is what we need more than anything. take for instance the 76ers. they are winning and fun to watch for basketball types, but they have no marquee talents thus are still relatively obscure.

yes, I would do it, agreed after Davis, the rest is a crap shoot. If we can get a PF/C and SF, i'll be happy

Its going to take 2 years to have a team that can compete but OKC had 2 bad seasons after drafting durant 20-62 & westbrook/ibaka 23-59, then shot upto back to back 50+ win seasons...

We are 2 years away from being the next OKC... just gotta hope we pick wisely.

I think we have to hope we get Davis if not get 2 lottery picks for pick 2 or 3.

We either get number 1 this year or we get it next year.

Really depends what picks we could get i think we could keep our #2 or 3 pick and end up makin a trade to get another possibly lottery pick involving DJ and portlands 2013 pick for a pick but idk we'll see im keeping my fingers crossed for the 1st pick

SWedd, did you brain fart or something? LOL!! You say it depends, but then just stop? Depends on what? You usually have a good reason for what you say, so please elaborate.

I was waiting on somebody to call me on that. I was in the middle of a Trayvon Martin discussion in our Southern Politics class and couldn't pull up any draft sites on my tiny phone at the same time.

(at the risk of being completely impossible to understand

But yes, it depends for me. I think the #2 pick could pull more than #6 and #11 for obvious reasons. #3 has less flexibility because you have to figure out who has #2 and where they're going to go so I'd consider moving that pick for 6/11.

As of now, Gilchrist and Robinson have pretty much solidified their positions as the 2/3 guys so I would imagine the goal of a deal like this would be to get two of Drummond/Sullinger/Jones and Beal/Lamb/Barnes.

Coming out of the last two drafts with Kemba, Lamb, X, Bismack is a really strong start IMO.

Heres what I want to know, what team is going to want to trade up to 2 or 3 if thats what we end up with?

After Davis, the difference between the rest of the top 10 is minimal. Surely the other teams are seeing what we are.
