Harkless isnt being talked about, hes real underrated from what ive heard....and hes so young and athletic he has a real high ceiling...i wouldnt mind him if we have another 1st rounder
Moe Harkless
SF / 18 years old/ St. John's
6'8" / 208 lb
15.3ppg/ 8.6rpg/ 1.4 bpg
NBA Comparisons: Rudy Gay/ More slasher version of Joe Johnson with less range
I feel like as the draft nears, this kid's stock is going to propel him into the late lottery or mid teens. Knowing Cho's skills, I can see him landing us an additional pick in this range. If so, I am all aboard the Harkless Train. Landing Davis and Harkless would make me a very happy man. Throw in a Tayshaun Taylor/Draymond Green/J'Covan Brown with our 2nd round pick and it would go down as one of our best drafts.

i would cream my pants if we landed Davis and Harkless! Not a good shooter but looks to have nice slashing ability.

I am officially obsessed with this guy. I think he is a better SF prospect than MKG. The stats are very comparable and MKG played on one of the best teams ever, while Moe played 32 minutes as a freshman on a terrible team.
I think Moe is the guy that will shock everyone and be one of the best players in this class. My new hope for the draft is to stay at 2 and somehow get into the lottery and grab Harkless. I want to take the BPA, but I really think we need to leave this draft with a big and a SF. T-Rob/Drummond and Moe would be amazing.
he gets a lot of questions about his shot, but I think the form is there just needs to work on consistency. anyone else head over heels about this guy?
You could say im head over heels for Harkless. He has more upside and potential than MKG, and id prob go as far as to say he is more skilled also! I have no earthly idea why people are sleeping on him as a SF prospect!
I would do everything humanly possible to get another pick in the first round to get him. If not him Royce White and Quincy Miller are both great prospects as well.
Then pray to God John Jenkins is still on the board for our last pick.
Glad I'm not alone. I honestly can't see why someone would consider MKG with the second pick. I don't see a difference anywhere except that MKG played on the National Champion loaded Wildcats and Moe played power forward on an undermanned team without its head coach for most of the season.
Playing out of position on a bad team in a very tough conference, without a coach this kid still won Big East Rookie of the Year. I also love Royce White. would be happy with either of those guys or BOTH. Where do you think we have to trade back into to get one of them? I think Moe is gonna sky rocket, so I'll say about 11.
Im afraid Moe will jump alot just like I thought Lillard would. I see mocks now with Lillard going 6th overall. I could easily see Moe jumping to around 10. But this draft is so loaded that I could easily see him still being there in the 15-20 range.
In a perfect world I hope for something like this.
Trade with Cavs for 4th and 24th.
Trade DJ and Portlands 13' pick to Phoenix for the 13th pick.
Trade Hendo to Boston for 21st pick.
Charlotte's 2012 Draft
4th - Bradley Beal
13th - Moe Harkless
21st - Quincy Miller
24th - John Jenkins
31st - Tyshawn Taylor
Well think if Harkless was a Wildcat last year, and Gilchrist was a Red Storm. Harkless had more of an opportunity to show his talents on a team where he was the marquee player, while MKG was busy playing with 4 other potential draftees this year and had to share the limelight. I like Harkless but honestly if MKG was in that position I feel he could have done at least the same and possibly better than Moe did.
Not so sure about that.
MKG had had a hard time scoring in the half court on a loaded team and got the bulk of his points in transition and clean up baskets at point blank range. Imagine his difficulties if he was the focal point of the defense.
Harkless had a couple of dominant games where he single handily keep St Johns in the game. Go watch the Dook game where he scores 30 points.

I think its the complete opposite way around. I think having a tremendous team around him made MKG appear better than he actually was. He had Anthony Davis playing with him, who literally affected every single play. It's easier to operate in an environment where you only get a certain amount of attention thats left over from what they give your teammates. And Harkless averaged more assist with less talent around him, and more steals with way less defensive help.
