Default What if Anthony Davis becomes a bust?

Just a little something to past the time rather than watch these 20+ blowouts. But after the Kentucky win, I'm seeing the media is connecting Davis with us. But I'm getting scared that it want happen, we won't get the no 1 pick or he stay in school or something. But with our luck, we ending up drafting AD but he ends up a bust, what do we do. Disclaimer: I'm not saying that he will, I'm just saying what if.

Injuries are the only thing that can stop him.

I guess if he's a bust we will still be terrible and drafting high once again....Better luck next time!

And if Davis reaches his potential, I like thinking of Marcus Camby as having been a "Poor Man's Anthony Davis"......

Just for the sake of argument, there was another freshman that led his team through the tournament to win the championship behind his incredible defense.

He was also drafted #1 and everyone thought that he was can't miss.

Chances of him or any other player being a franchise player is incredibly low. If it doesn't work out, we'll just keep drafting high and hope we get one later.

    Hello Pervis Ellison

I remember old Pervis, I missed going to high school with him by one year but everyone thought he was going to be the one.

    Hello Pervis Ellison

You make a point. They are similar. But it's not quite the same. The difference is, he was not the consensus number one at all. That was a Bill Russell mistake of drafting somebody who reminded him of himself. That draft was similar to '06. Six guys were considered possible number ones: Ellison, Danny Ferry, Stacey King, JR Reid, Sean Elliott, and Glen Rice. As it turned out, Sean Kemp, Cliff Robinson, Vlade Divac, and Tim Hardaway should have been in the discussion too.

When the Hornets drafted Dyron Nix for the purpose of acquiring Stuart Gray instead of grabbing Cliff Robinson in the second round, I went ballistic. How many years was Robinson in the league? About 20??
