I'm thinking like you. Everyone looking at us to get Davis. I can't get hyped for this until it happens. I even slacked on reading the forum to get it out of my head. I just hope we don't repeat history or Davis bust.

    Hello Pervis Ellison

I remember old Pervis, I missed going to high school with him by one year but everyone thought he was going to be the one.

Obviously, it would be amazing to get Davis. However, we can still rebuild nicely with another player. There's no suicide pact for me, but it will probably take longer for us to be a contender. That's all.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

the only problem I forsee is after his huge growth spurt I wonder when he starts packing on the weight if his knees will be up to the task but strengthening the muscles around that joint should keep any problems at bay ... hopefully.

    Hello Pervis Ellison

You make a point. They are similar. But it's not quite the same. The difference is, he was not the consensus number one at all. That was a Bill Russell mistake of drafting somebody who reminded him of himself. That draft was similar to '06. Six guys were considered possible number ones: Ellison, Danny Ferry, Stacey King, JR Reid, Sean Elliott, and Glen Rice. As it turned out, Sean Kemp, Cliff Robinson, Vlade Divac, and Tim Hardaway should have been in the discussion too.

When the Hornets drafted Dyron Nix for the purpose of acquiring Stuart Gray instead of grabbing Cliff Robinson in the second round, I went ballistic. How many years was Robinson in the league? About 20??

I went ballistic but for a different reason... I couldn't believe they drafted someone who was still wearing a Jheri curl.

L-freakin-OL!!! Yeah, I remember!! Nix had a jheri curl!!

Seriously though. WTF?? How did Robinson slip so badly?? He excelled in the Big East for crying out loud. How many more years was Gray in the league?? Three What an idiot move by the Hornets. Their first two drafts were awful.
