Source says Jamario Moon is being called up to Charlotte from the LA D-Fenders, who are in the playoffs. It's the 8th call-up for LA.

This is such a ridiculously pointless move. If we are going to bring someone up from the D-League, why not pick someone who has an iota of potential?

I would rather take the chance on someone who could end up like Gerald Green and at least have some value. Besides, we already have the worst record all but locked up.

Wow. This is probably in the running for the worst move of the year. Definitely pointless considering the amount of games left. It's not like he's someone who can make a difference with his rookie season being his best at 8.5 ppg. But who knows? Only the limited amount of time we do have will tell.

Moon can finish nicely in transition. Him and UPS will at least make the a few of the 60-80 pity points we score highlight reel worthy. At this point nothing else really matters. Plus he has been around the block. He has hustled to get into the league, and has been on losing teams before. Very good guy to have in the locker room.

Although I'd like to add, I have no idea why we do this now, as others have intimated. I'd understand bringing in a young guy with a lot of potential to work with through the end of the season and develop in the offseason but this just doesn't make any sense. No value, no potential, and we have nothing to play for.
