Default Trade for Odom & 1st rounder?

Okay so I saw this tweet today

Anyone trying to clear cap space could trade for him, then buy him out at a reduced price and clear cap space.

This got me thinking, what would they want for Odom. I thought of a combination that might work for both.

We send DJ and Diop for Odom. We then give them our second round pick this year in return for their first. They get rid of Odom, get DJ to replace Kidd, Diop started for the Mavs and they gave him that stupid contract so obviously rate him somewhat. We then buy Odom out

I haven't really thought this through tbh but just thought I would post it and see what people thought.

I think the Mavs will be trying for DWill to replace Kidd first. But he gives some indication that he will not go to Dallas, it may be worth trying. Odom will probably be disgruntled at such a trade that will not get him back to LA though. The Mavs may just buy him out themselves or trade him to still make sure they can get DWill though. I dunno what may become of Odom after this year.

Mavs sent out their 1st to LAL in the original Odom trade.

I'd rather not be dealing with Cuban. Cho might have better luck but for the last few years Cuban has seen us as his big red lollipop.
