I'm sorry but this is such bull chit! Orlando got it for the new arena, Dallas got it so they could show off the cowboys stadium and have the largest basketball game ever. We have a brand new arena, a city that definitely could support the massive influx, and hell it'd be fun...but no lets bring it back to the same city who had it just after being nearly destroyed....again, all bull chit.

i hear your complaints. it is definitely commish/nba welfare for the poor poor city of new orleans who really are showing no interest in having an nba team.

but....
i would much rather travel to NO for a weekend than charlotte. new orleans happens to be a top 5 destination city in the country. no open container laws, check. unique local culture, double check. nice feb weather, check. good food, triple check. legal gambling, check. in fact the only thing charlotte has going for it in this comparison is bojangles.

I guess thats fair enough to be honest. That city and region was pretty devastated by Katrina. I am more worried about the NBA corruption (Stern used to own the team) Does this mean NOH will win the lottery as well?
