Wow. Silas ain't playing. Good for him, I personally think TT is loafing so he will get amnestied.Charlotte Bobcats coach Paul Silas shoved 6-foot-10 forward Tyrus Thomas after a postgame screaming match Sunday night, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Several players intervened immediately and separated the coach and player, and no punches were thrown, sources said.
Silas, 68, had been incensed with Thomas chatting with some Boston Celtics players on the court, and lashed out at him in the losing locker room afterward. Eventually, Thomas snapped back at Silas, and the coach warned him to say no more or risk a suspension.
Once Thomas stood up, Silas pushed him toward his locker stall, sources said.
Bobcats general manager Rod Higgins met with Silas and Thomas, and both have been fined, a source said.
"There was an incident," Higgins told Y! Sports. "We handled it internally and talked to both the player and the coach and moved on. End of story."

Thomas played 20 minutes Monday night in a loss to the New Orleans Hornets, the Bobcats' 17th straight.
Charlotte has spiraled to a 7-53 record, and the Boston loss had been especially embarrassing for Silas, who played for the Celtics during his career. The Celtics sat out Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen, and still won easily.
“Silas hates losing to the Celtics, and Paul was even angrier that he thought [Thomas] was acting buddy-buddy with some of their guys,” one source said. “That’s what got it going. But Paul was yelling at him over his salary, over what they have left to pay him. But it started with him saying, hey, he could live with the losing, but you’re going to be buddy-buddy as they’re beating your ass too?”
I hope we amnesty him....There's nothing funny about losing like that.....and especially what we're paying him he better be palying his hardest every night...if we dont amnesty him this summer.....man imma be pissed...good for silas for doing this speaking the truth
Yeah, it seems with the losing this year that a lot of fans have turned their back on Paul. I love him personally. And this reminds me why. He's a player's coach, but a good one. He instills confidence in players that need it and will be there in your corner, but if you come out and play without heart, passion, and just loaf your way to a loss and pick up your paycheck (see Tyrus Thomas), then he's gonna call you out.
I know Diop sucks, but the dude tries. We finally shed ourselves of Diaw. Carroll sucks, but he tries and is a good guy overall. You can deal with guys making what they make as long as they aren't purposely hurting the team until their contract runs out... Because, well, no one is taking them off of us. As far as Tyrus, I have no idea why they didn't amnesty him once the new CBA was in place. I'm guessing they didn't expect him to suck THIS bad. They need to rectify this mistake ASAP and dump his ass.
Team Silas for sure in this one. Thats bitch mode stuff from Tyrus.
I do not however agree that we should amnesty him. It wouldn't help us even in the slightest bit at this point. We aren't pushing the salary cap, and we aren't in the get free agents mode. In essence it would be us paying him 9 million a year to play somewhere else. Sit his ass on the bench, try to buy him out. But whatever you do, don't pay that guy to get off our salary cap number when we aren't anywhere close to being able to use it. Pay him and force him to play, or bench him and publicly humiliate him. but don't let him win for being a bum.
