Swarm Time Warner Pt. 2- get your tickets and support the movement.

I thought about placing this in the name change thread but, I feared it wouldn't get the attention it deserves so I felt it warranted it's own thread.

The final home game of the season is next Thursday April 26th and will be nationally televised. The guys at BringBackthebuzz.com (who I'm not affliated with beyond supporting their goal) have organized a Charlotte Hornets rally at the game and it would be great to have as many rebrand supporters as we can to show up and support the cause.

The plan is to buy tickets in sections 228 or 229

If you feel strongly about sending a message to MJ and the NBA that we want our name back, please buy a ticket and join the movement.

If you already have your ticket(in any section) please remember to wear your teal and purple as we cheer for a Charlotte victory over the Knicks.

I will be wearing my Bobcats gear with pride. The Charlotte Hornets are now in New Orleans. so screw them. Until I hear anything from management saying that we will become the Hornets then I am a Bobcats fan. I am supporting the current players on my current team. I think its safe to assume at this point these Hornets fans dont give a damn about our players. Playing CEO and gentrifying us into the Hornets is their only concern. I commend you though GOBOBCATS24 for keeping the faith thru this tough year. The easy thing to do would be raising another teams flag up and disassociating ourselves from the team. When we turn this thing around, Bobcat fans will be encouraging people to come to TWC Arena to cheer the Bobs, like normal fans do.

Guys, it's not a hard concept. The CHARLOTTE Hornets are not in New Orleans, the NEW ORLEANS Hornets are. We dont like or want that team down there. We also are Bobcats fans until management says we are the Hornets, and we fully support the players on our current team

Once again, your confusing name with entity. Us CHARLOTTE Hornets fans HATE the NEW ORLEANS Hornets, and we give a big damn about our players. Stop saying that. Our concern is improving the team on all fronts. There was a magic with that name that you could feel, and we'd like to recapture that with he current team in Charlotte, which would be by the NAME, not ENTITY. Everybody on his site should be commended for toughing out this season, whether we want our old identity back or not. There is absolutely no disassociation from this team, this ENTITY, just a name, just a name, just a name.

I think this is a great idea to raise awareness, the national broadcasters will definitely take notice, and more discussion would have to take place in the front office.

The key is raising enough awareness to get more fans in the stands involved. Maybe there's a way to get in touch with the writers to help promote the idea. I don't think Bonnell will go with it as he wants to be an impartial observer, but can't we get Sorenson and Fowler on board. Maybe even invite them to sit in the section, and write about the energy they feel.

Also, is there any old players we could get involved. I know Dell is calling the game, but what about getting Muggsy to jump on board? Is Johnny Newman still around? LJ just signed on with the Knicks recently in the front office, maybe he can come down.

Just some ideas I had.

They can't change my mind and I can't / won't try to change theirs.

I hate the New Orleans Hornets

I prefer to be a fan of the Charlotte Hornets, which means I want to pull for our current roster plus Anthony Davis and any available Free agents that could improve our wins and losses, with the current ownership group led by Michael Jordan, the current management group of Higgins/ Cho.....and I want the Jersey to read Charlotte Hornets.

I won't respond anymore to the nay Sayers because, if you're (not your) not smart enough to understand the points above, you're not worth the time spent to further clarify my stance.

The event next Thursday is to draw awareness to the cause and to pull for a victory of our NBA team over the NY Knicks. (this event will add much needed revenue to Michael Jordan, which is desperately needed.)

And for those that will be wearing Bobcats gear- think that's great but, instead of trying to fight the movement, how about trying to talk to some of the other basketball fans into attending the game..... Lord knows there plenty of seats available.

Use your powers of never ending argument for good and talk some people into attending the damn game.
