I'll bet more people go the Panthers' draft party than this game.
Idea: everyone who is a Bobcat fan should start a PETA esque "I'd rather go naked than wear Hornets gear" campaign. We get notable members of our forum to pose.
I'll start off PLEASE DONT BAN ME:

This. Stop doing this. They are the Bobcats, not a curse word. Bob Johnson is gone, his association with the team is over. Whether or not he named the team after himself is irrelevant. The first NBA team I ever started rooting for is the Bobcats, so it upsets when I see someone censor the name because they didn't like the owner. I wasn't fond of him either, but I can stomach the name because I am a fan of the team. Charlotte is not the first sports team named the Bobcats, and they won't be the last. You want the name changed, I get it, but stop making the name taboo. We have enough people bashing the team on a daily basis.

You guys do realized that this game will be nationally televised and if we lose the game we will officially be the worst team in league history, right?
Do you not think it's embarrassing to be wearing Hornets gear and chanting for a name change while the team currently here is making history as the worst?
Wouldn't be the first time Charlotte Hornet fans showed disloyalty to their team. They didnt show to the team's 2002 playoff series with Philly. Barely 10,000 to watch a nationally televised playoff game. Quitting on their team is part of their legacy. Their support is conditional. No one should be shocked they want to kick us the hardest while we're down. The Hornets are still in New Orleans by the way.
I'm not going to argue with you guys, the stats speak for themselves.
Dead Last in the league in Merchandise sales. You can't blame that on anything but the poor brand. Bad logo, bad design, bad colors. That has nothing to do with the "name" that is the results of a failed brand.
Look at the poll in the observer, over 10,000 votes and again the Bobcats are Dead Last behind Hornets, Cougars, and "I don't care"
The brand doesn't evoke passion from very many people. Meaning not many people care.
You can talk all the shit you want but, the reality is that 2 no name guys with a cheap website, a twitter account, and a petition have got more people talking about the team than the Bobcats entire marketing department have in 8 seasons.
You can disagree with the movement but, u can't discount that these guys have got people talking about a team that not many have talked about in years.
King T- why do u have the Cougars as your avatar? U do realize that there are people that want the team to change the name to Cougars right?
Kind of hypocritical to talk crap about fans of the NBA team in Charlotte that prefer a different name don't u think?
