Default Please Draft - Darius Miller in the 2nd Round

I watched the entire NCAA tournament and I think Darius Miller is one of the most underated players in college basketball. He is experienced and has the physicality contribute immediately at 6'8 230. He is a very good athlete and a great shooter. If the Bobcats have the #1 pick and get Anthony Davis and can add Darius Miller in the 2nd round I think he would be a huge steal. I believe Darius will be just as good of a pro as Harrison Barnes.

Miller had a really good season and NCAA run. The only thing that puts me off is you have not seen him play big minutes so your only seeing a snapshot. The other thing is he is a 22 year old senior, how much more potential does he have from what he is now? Also What did you think of Doron Lamb? I think he would be a great pick with our second rounder after watching him in the ncaa. He can shoot, take it to the lane with decent size and can handle the ball.

    Default Official #31 Pick Discussion

I just got use of a friends ESPN Mag and can use for their subscription get bring what little info I can get from Insider

    first up, nothing special

ESPN's John Hollinger writes today that the 2011-12 Charlotte Bobcats might be the worst NBA team ever. If not, they are certainly one of the half dozen in the discussion.

So if there was ever a team that needed to get the No. 1 overall pick in order to obtain a franchise-changer like Anthony Davis, it's this year's Charlotte squad. If the Bobcats fail to land the top pick, most mock drafts indicate that they'll still end up with someone like Kansas PF Thomas Robinson, Kentucky SF Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Florida SG Bradley Beal. Maybe not the caliber of an Anthony Davis, but still quality players who can help turn things around.

In a deep draft like this one, it'll also be extremely important for Charlotte to hit on its second pick (No. 31 overall), and with a virtual clean slate to work with the Bobcats could draft whoever they feel is the best player available.

Here are some possible options who, based on projections, we feel could possibly slide to round No. 2: Kentucky SG Doron Lamb, Vanderbilt SG John Jenkins, Michigan State SF/PF Draymond Green and West Virginia PF Kevin Jones, just to name a few.

Firstly I must say this is a good thread, this is a deep draft and we have a definite chance to land a keeper.

I really like either of John Jenkins or Fab Melo, both could be solid rotation players at NBA level and both offer us something we need, Jenkins with his shooting and Melo with his size and rebounding.

Maybe there is a real surprise slide by a player on draft night and we may land a diamond in the rough, players that maybe fit this mould are Royce White, Tony Wroten Jr or Marquis Teague...These guys are athletic though and could be workout warriors and rise on draft night.

Fab Melo would be nice, but I'm willing to bet that he doesn't make it to us with our 2nd round pick.

there are some intriguing Europeans around aswell Sataranosky, Nedovic and Dusan Cantekin. Probably not an avenue FO will go down but it's an option nonetheless.

None of the Europeans are worth using our 2nd round pick unless its Fournier who will probably go in the 1st round. The rest are absolute question marks. The first 2nd round pick is actually quite valuable as it has an unguaranteed contract.

This is my view: We suck at 3 point shooting, I mean look at our 3 point shooting home- 0.295 Away- 0.356. Both are pretty poor, now unless we draft Beal nobody else in the top 4 is going to help with that so I think we go for a sharp shooter, and there are a few available. Doron Lamb and John Jenkins, I am not going to go into a load of detail about these two as I have a shit load of Coursework I should be doing right now but look into them and I am sure you will be in the Doron Lamb train

Have to wait til predraft workouts but I love Draymond Green and Will Buford as second rounders. The Vandy guys were so wildly inconsistent from what I saw of them this past year, that they give me fear. But like I said, this is just preference based on what i saw this year in college hoops. I need the predraft workout to make my preferences official.

John Jenkins, 6'4 SG from Vandy. AVg.'s 20 pts/game, shoots .474% FG and .439% 3 PT FG. Add this SG to Davis, and we have 2 very productive new assets from the 2012 Draft.
