I'm still kind of bitter about how it turned out as well... I was an Ammo guy after his last year at Zaga. But man, I'm telling you... Like a wise man once told me about the game - "It's 90% mental, 10% physical." Ammo was a prime example of this.

I have no problem believing Ammo looked better than Gay prior to the draft. But, the weight of the pressure from the fans and front office plus dealing with incompetent and inconsistent coaching, then throw in the injury... He just never came in with that swagger that he had in college. He was destroyed mentally.

The Bobcats should've figured out his mentality the moment he started bawling against UCLA while the game was still going on!!! If he had manned up, he still had a chance to win that game instead of collapsing like a toddler. His senior year was incredible, I was a fan, but seeing that display in the tourney, I wanted nothing to do with him anymore.

Even dook players wait til the game is out of hand and they're off the court before they bury their heads in K's bosom.
