Default While we're discussing improbable scenarios: Wade

I don't think Miami is going to trade Wade, but if the Heat fail this year to win the title or at least put together a strong finals appearance, serious questions are going to be raised about "the big three."

Oddly, I think Lebron is the one player in the league of his calber that defers too much and might benefit from Wade being traded for some capable blue-collar types. He doesn't want to be that ball-hog type player, but he needs to think he's the best guy on the court to get a bucket, since he is. (His first few years in Cleveland proved this to me, when he single-handedly beat a lot of playoff teams.) And I don't see Miami trading Lebron to keep Wade.

So, assuming Miami things go crazy for Miami in the off-season and they become determined to make a big change, would you trade the 1st pick in the draft and maybe another piece to obtain Wade?

Forget about the realistic possibility. I don't care. I'm just wondering if it would be worth trading our 1st and another piece for a star like Wade, who's clearly a top 15 talent in the league but isn't going to win a title on his own, as we've already seen in Miami.

    I wouldn't do it.

To me, Wade seems to be one of those guys that will wind up fighting through nagging injuries for the rest of his career. Unfortunately I think his nest basketball is in his rear view mirror.

I would love Wade, but not for the #1 pick. Honestly, we would need to keep the pick just to keep him happy. Possibly a future first, although it's probably difficult to trade future picks until we take care of the Chicago pick.

    Walker
    Wade
    Maggette
    Davis
    Biyombo

That would be a solid lineup.

EDIT: Obviously we would have to give up a lot more than a future pick, and we don't have the players that it would take; just dreaming.

after the lockout, Wade seems to be more of a pre-madonna type. he would not be happy here. I honestly think he should have signed in Chicago. they needed a sg and it would have been awesome to see him next to Rose. Think he would have had a better chance in Chi-town with a healthy Rose of winning the title than in Miami.

of all the many things I hate about Miami... Dwayne Wade I hate the least. I think he's the best player on that team.

buuuuuuuuuut. I think his ego is far too big for Charlotte. I'd honestly rather pursue the youth route, as crazy as that sounds.

My whole thing with Miami from the beginning was that they were making it all about individuals and not about team. I know this big three deal won't work in Miami. It never will. Basketball takes more than 3 players. It takes more than 5. It takes at least 10 good quality players to win a championship. And Miami might even have a team to do it, but they don't think like that. they think in terms of the big three and with a mindset like that... You cannot win.

Nope. And he would refuse to come here anyway, just like Melo and CP3 supposedly did.

For future reference, it's prima donna.

If that's the case, then I apologize!
