I think we stick with veteran low-cost, low commitment players that are glue guys in this year's FA. Jamison makes too much sense and maybe a taller, pass-first PG that will sign for 2 years and won't handcuff our cash moving forward. I could see a mega player like Gordon because he's 23, a slick scorer and would allow us to then flip Hendo, but that's the only big time FA that is young enough to make sense with our long-term plan. That being said, I'm not getting my hopes up and I like Hendo in this offense and don't want to lose him (though for Gordon anyone would be okay with it). I wonder how much cash Ilyasova is asking for? 24 year old, 6'10" PF that can run the floor and second best 3-pt shooting % in the NBA last year. I like Ilyasova, but I don't want to lock someone in that would create a road block for the McAdoo's, Polythress's of next year's draft class (and what if we decide to move Biyombo to the 4).

I'd still like to see OJ Mayo in a Cats uniform. Eric Gordon is good but doesn't make me super thrilled. Contract + injuries worry me. But I like him alot as a player, if we sign him I won't be mad or anything.

Lets say we signed OJ Mayo to a 4 year deal worth around 9 a year(We'd have to outpay teams like Boston, etc.)...and then trade Henderson for Taj Gibson as mentioned. Then also maybe amnesty Tyrus and sign Ersan.

    Kemba/Vet PG
    Mayo/Gordon/Reggie/Carroll
    MKG/UPS/Taylor
    Taj/Ersan
    Bismack/Byron/Diop

That's 14 right there. Probably sign an extra veteran PF...Jamison if he's cheap would be awesome but then I don't see us signing Ersan.

That roster has a good balance of offense and defense. I'd feel very comfortable with that roster moving forward.

Mike Prada: Bobcats should jump in on this Calderon trade stuff. Ask Raptors to give up a pick or young guy to take him on.

Marc Stein: If Raps manufacture Calderon trade it'll be w/team with space or exception to take Spaniard w/no outgoing $ just like Utah did w/Mo Williams

Ryan Wolstat: Utah would have been an ideal destination for Calderon before the Mo Williams trade. He'd fit in Indy, Charlotte, NOH, Chi, Minny

I hate that Silas mentioned wanting Biyombo to be a 4. As far as I know, Biyombo never asked or wanted to be a 4. His game is rebounding, and defending in the post and he does that well. God only knows how long it would take him to develop a game facing the basket. I hope he works on his low post moves and can add a hook or a turn-around jumper. Beyond that, I hope Dunlap will leave well enough alone.

Calderon would be a good back up to Kemba. Think he is only 1 year, right? And if we can take them for a draft pick for taking him off their hands, might be an idea Cho runs with.

With this Calderon trade talk, would it be possible for us to trade for him and a pick for Diop?

No thanks on either Martin or Scola, but I'd gladly take Lowry but I don't know how we'd go about bringing him in. Would also LOVE to bring in Jeremy Lamb but I doubt that ever happens
Yeah, pgs that can actually run the point are overrated. /sarcasm
