Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell Agent David Falk says Jeff Green probably doesn't make sense in CLT after Bobcats draft Kidd-Gilchrist. I'm guessing Green back in Boston.

calderon would start, he is a much better pg than kemba at this point. it would actually be a good move for his development to learn from a good passing pg and come off the bench for a year

Really? Caleron? I guess if we want to continue losing then he'd be a good acquisition.

Besides...never going to happen. Did you guys miss that they want the receiving team to absorb ALL of his contract? Over 10.5 million AND if I'm not mistaken he also has a trade kicker....pushing it into the 12 million range. That would put us over the cap and we still have no PF on the roster.

Yeah, the money doesn't work out for us just to take him on. It maybe would have served the bigger PG/vet angle, but I can't see that being worth all the available capspace we have. I think they sign Jamison, perhaps another big if the price is right (i.e. Thompson/Hickson) and a backup PG. That'll be the free agent haul this season, I believe.

Then again, Cho makes a habit of doing things we don't expect so who knows?

One potentially very beneficial long term side-effect of getting Jamison is he could be an OUTSTANDING on-the-court mentor for Mr. Tyrus Thomas. Given that we're overall so young and needing a few years to develop, signing the "Pro's pro" in Jamison could be a very good move at this point in time!

Calderon plays very little defense... That would NOT work too well, and would age Coach Dunlap immeasurably...

Looks like we have made contact with JJ HIckson's agent. Think he'd have a pretty good shot at starting at the PF position for Charlotte if he came here. At least, as of right now with who we have on the team at PF.

I know with Ben Gordon we have addressed the need for 3 point shooting, also with hopefully Williams stepping up this year, but I saw that Brandon Rush is a free agent. Now, he doesn't blow me out of the water on anything, certainly not a well rounded or particularly athletic or defensive minded player. What does he do? He shoots 45% from 3 off the bench with 26 MPG, and hits 80% of his free throws. If he is cheap, is he a nice young piece to pick up to help with the 3, or is he redundant after Gordon? Or do we not want to touch him at all? I don't know much about him, just looked at his stats this year. http://www.hoopdata.com/player.aspx?name=Brandon%20Rush

We've got a lot of wings at this point. Outside of a pg, I'm not sure I want anything beyond a league minimum wing being added to the roster. Between Gordon, Hendo, Williams, MKG, and Taylor, there's not going to be a lot of minutes at the 2 or 3. At least three of those guys can hit from 3. If he was $2M or less, maybe.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

B/u PG and PF would be nice, as Biyombo at this point is better as a C than PF. I read they're looking for a "combo" guard with some size and defense. Ramon Sessions opted out of his Lakers contract, is still young and at 6'3" has decent size, and can defend. I suspect unless they can trade Diop, nothing will happen at C. Kwame Brown would be a nice upgrade though... In Cho we trust...
