I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want
Okay, but you can't just multiply stats by time. Amundsen has only played against reserves and other teams during garbage time. Also by playing less time he will have more energy when he does come in, if he played 36 minutes he would become tired. His rebounding an scoring would all decrease in relative terms to thy when he was playing less time.

Go easy on me, I'm from England, and no... I Don't love the Queen.
Man I hate this time of year (after initial FA and before training camp). There's usually nothing to talk about and we get these stupid little back and forth comments that really don't mean much at all.
Crunk, I appreciate you feeling bad about typing that...here at BCP we make an extra effort to be courteous to fellow posters. There's hardly ever any flame wars and we pride ourselves on that. Not to say there's not disagreements as there's plenty. Keeping it respectful however separates us from the idiot boards out there.
If we can run like Dunlap wants then everyone is going to be tired...on the flip tho everyone (who puts out the effort) is going to get minutes. Without keeping track of Amundson his points per minutes played don't tell a helluva lot...only 13 mpg is a small amount for a 29 year old player. Let's look at his advanced stats:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/...amundlo01.html
He had a pretty good stretch with PHO, posting TS% & EFG% in the low to mid .500s (2009/2010). He dropped off badly in GSW (but only played in 46 games...injury?) & in IND...but in the playoffs he got those 2 numbers back up into the low .500s again.
He would also give us a more veteran version of ultimately a poor man's Bismack...maybe Biz could learn something from the guy?
2 years for around 5.1 million? I think that's a pretty good get. We've all been thinking PF but a back to the basket guy just isn't out there. A young guy with potential would ideally be good, but having more vet guys around our already young group would probably help their growth more.

For all those Tyrus haters out there, here is the answer for all your problems: Lou Amundsen (got a weirder name than Bismack though). This guy runs, works hard, and will fight for every loose ball. Still, some part of me thinks we shouldn't draft him, cause I don't think he can kick it up a notch and put the numbers on the board some of you think he'll average. I believe he'll average about 6ppg and 5rpg in a little more than 20 minutes of playing time. If it's true he's asking for 3M a year, I would think twice about giving him a multi-year contract if I were Cho, but one year, or maybe two would be fine with me.
I feel like his name came up last year or the year prior for us signing him as a back-up PF, so we know the organization has a least put him on the radar before. I could be wrong, but I remember researching his skills and numbers at some point. He is your average bench player that could see an improvement in his stats with a change of location, but who knows if that will translate here. At this point in the offseason, we need to sign someone on the cheap for a short contract that doesn't take away L's and/or cripple our long-term plans. Admunsen (sp.) would fit that bill.
Pretty sure you're right polarcat...didn't we lose him to GSW?

Ok, let me slow this down for you, because obviously you didn't get it. You were using logic that doesn't work for anyone but you and I used sarcasm (which is a way of saying something that isn't true to point out the ridiculousness of a previous statement that a lot of people use as a comedic device to make a point) to not only poke fun at your statement but to extend the logic into an example that all people would think was ridiculous and maybe make you reconsider whatever you said.
Here's what I was trying to say. You think that Louis Admunson would score 8 and 8 if he was given double his current minutes, and maybe a double double if he was given 36 minutes. This wouldn't be true. He's only gotten an average of 13 minutes because he's not very good and there is likely a player on every team in the NBA that would give more production in any minutes to replace over him. So, to make my point, I took your logic, that doesn't work in anywhere but your mind, and extended it to something that most fans would recognize as obviously a joke.
In my mind, Michael Jordan (the player, who later bought the Bobcats) averaged 30 points per game. Each game is 48 minutes, but by your logic, anyone given double time will get that same output only in double the minutes. The logic extended to ridiculousness is where the 96 minutes per game comes in. I doubled the about of minutes in a game and doubled Jordan's average (times it by 2, is what double means) to make a point.
So, hopefully you fully understand what I was trying to say. If you didn't understand any of the words I used, please pm me and I'll explain it to you.
Of course, this long ridiculous explanation was to make a further point, don't call me stupid. Don't call anyone stupid. That makes you look stupid and I'd assume if you don't understand social cues and sarcasm, you might be a serial killer so I won't continue to press you on this. Just understand you're the one that looks stupid here, you may not be stupid but you seem stupid, and Louis Admunson wouldn't score more points or rebounds based on getting more minutes in a game, he'll never be a Bobcat.
