Off-Season Trade and Free Agent Ideas Thread

At the beginning of last season I was a bit sceptical about trading for Mullens. From what I had heard he was a hobo's Dirk Nowitzki, and couldn't do anything but 3-point shooting. However, after the all star break I saw him more in the paint, and developed himself into a true center, which is not surprising if you consider he is 7 foot/feet (don't know which one it is) tall. I know we're in need of a power forward, and I also know some of the people out here won't like my following statement, but I rather like to see Biz play at 4 than to put Mullens on power forward.

Go with "ft." and then you're covered regardless!

I'm not so hung up with who's the 4 & who's the 5. They just have to work well together against their opposing guys. I'm pretty hopeful about Mully though...expecting a lot better D for one thing.

What do you guys know about Wesley Matthews? I know he can shoot from 3 (fills a need) and according to Blazers' fans has a high motor (Dunlap). Would he be worth making an effort to acquire?

Bobcats wanted Wes Matthews in the Gerald Wallace trade but Portland didn't want to give him up then. Don't know about his contract, that would be a difference maker to me. If we let Gerald go he'd be an option to go after next year I'm guessing

Around 6.5-7 for 3 years.

He has a great TS% (probably due to his 3 pt efficiency) and a decent EFG%.
