Default Somewhat Realistic Dream Offseason Thread

I posted this in another thread, but I'd like to see what others would like to see happen if they were running the show. It doesn't matter if the numbers add up perfectly, so have some fun with it while still being semi-realistic.

Feel free to include trades, free agents, draft picks, and our amnesty clause. Also throw in your pick for head coach.

3-Philly wants to move Iggy. Maggette and the pick Portland owes us for Iggy works, and saves the Sixers a lot of money, and allows them to play their young guys.
4-Sign Jamison at a reasonable price.
5-One way or another, I think Augustin is out. If Andre Miller or Jerryd Bayless can be had for cheap, they would be a nice addition. Otherwise, I'm not sure about backup point guard.
6-Don't keep dead weight around. Higgens, I'm looking at you.

    Kemba
    Henderson
    Iggy
    Robinson
    Bismack
    -----------
    Jamison
    Miller/Bayless/FA
    Williams
    Mullens
    White
    Brown
    Jenkins/Melo
    -----------
    Carroll
    Diop
    UDFA

This plan isn't well thought out, but like I said, it's a dream. If the Sixers really want to make room for their younger guys without having a bad situation in the locker room, an expiring vet and a mid-round pick might get it done for Iggy. Using the amnesty on Tyrus isn't going to happen, but it would clear the way for Robinson and end the headache that Tyrus has been so far.

Feel free to go ahead and tear me apart!

My "somewhat but probably not at all realistic dream"

Trade the #2 Pick/Tyrus/Magette for Rudy Gay and Tony Allen
Sign and Trade DJ/Diop/Henderson + a future first round pick for an extended Deron Williams and the Okur exception
Sign Antwan Jamison and either Earl Clark/Yi/Jeremy Evans/Landry
    Resign Derrick Brown
Use our 2nd round pick on Darius Miller
    Hire a YOUNG coach

    Bismack
    Jamison
    Gay
    Reggie Williams
    Deron Williams

Bench - Kemba/Tony Allen/BJ/Brown/Miller/whatever young guy we sign

We then let eventually upgrade our PF spot when Jamison stops producing and become a contender.

I like your idea but I may tweak it a little, due to Cleveland and Washington falling in love with MKG, Cleveland swap the 4 and 24 for our 2, they get MKG ahead of Wash and we get T-Rob, draft Melo and Jenkins. Even though I would have preferred drafting a SF but since we have Iggy, I defer until next year.

I like Iguodala a lot, but are you willing to pay him $13 million per year?

Well he only gets paid a little more than Maggette next season, and the following season would be a player option, so he might opt out anyway. Either way, I wouldn't mind having him around for a year or two, and if we did re-sign him beyond that, it would be for significantly less I'd imagine. He didn't live up to the contract the Sixers gave him, be he's certainly still a decent player.

    That's not realistic at all.

Im excited about the future. I dont think anyone can predict what happens in the future, especially with Cho as GM, but if we stand pat and just build a team off of draft picks from 2011, 2012, and 2013 draft...

2011 - Kemba Walker and Bismack Biyombo

    2012 - Marcus Kidd-Gilchrist and Draymond Green

2013- Shabazz Muhammad, CJ McCollom, and Kenny Kadji

Add Byron Mullens to the lineup...

    Kemba Walker - CJ McCollom
    Shabazz Muhammad
    Marcus Kidd-Gilchrist - Draymond Green
    Byron Mullens - Kenny Kadji
    Bismack Biyombo

That would have the makings of a really good team down the road. Our plan was to build through the draft, and as you can see, if we did perhaps go the route I did above, we would have plenty of cap room to add a big free agent or two.

    BE PATIENT.

My plan is actually doable, we would just have to be very aggressive on draft day like like portland has been before.
-trade down with cleveland for picks 4 and 24
-trade magette's expiring plus the portland pick next year to get back in the late lottery for a another pick
-trade 24 and 31 plus cash or a future second rounder to get down to between 16 and 20.
-select thomas robinson @ 4, kendall marshall or damain lillard in the late lottery(i prefer lillard because of his potential to be like westbrook, but marshall is a hell of a passer and either gives us more size @ the position and great options @ the point. And then select quincy miller in the late teens or early 20's.He's raw, but i seriously think he could end up being a superstar!
-sign nick batum away from portland(i don't care if we overpay, because miller will take a few years to develop and we won't use all of our cap space the next few years anyway.)
-Sign jamison to mentor robinson and be a veteran locker room leader.
-Hire jerry sloan as coach to develop our young talent.
-Pray like hell that we luck out and get shabazz muhammed next year.
    That would give us:

    Walker/Lillard
    Muhammed/Henderson
    Batum/Miller
    Robinson/Jamison
    Biyombo/Mullens
    W/ head coach Jerry Sloan
I'd take that in a heartbeat!

I'd definitely be happy with that. Lillard is moving up the board though. Most mocks I"ve seen have him as a lottery pick, as high as six to Portland.

It works with the cap and mock draft predictions, but honestly I've never seen a "realistic" trade on here translate into real life so I went the "dream" route.
