Abe Lincoln Vampire Assaulter (or whatever) was very weak. Watched it with a bud last night and instead of being tongue-in-cheek and a sort of B movie, it tried way to hard to take itself seriously and that train scene at the end of the flick was ridiculous.

    Recommend avoiding it.

yeah, from the trailers i got the feeling it was gonna end up like cowboys & aliens, where it should have been a fun lighthearted popcorn muncher, but was instead way too serious for no reason.

still haven't checked out prometheus, and i definitely hope to see ted and the dark knight rises. i gotta get on top of this soon.

Great analogy with Cowboys and aliens....that's exactly what I compared it to with my friend when we were walking out. Had potential to be great guilty pleasure but took the goofy subject matter way too serious than it had any right to be.

Going to Ted Sunday or Monday....I'll post here what I think. And like you, can't wait for Dark Knight Rises.

Watched a movie called Lockout today. Space, prison rescue type movie. I thought it was pretty good, main character was funny. I recommend it for action movie seekers.

As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it

Watched Project X last night. I guiltily have to say I kinda liked it. The spectacle of the whole thing was really good. Really wished it had been put together as a documentary with no attempt at a story (which was cliche and uninteresting). Can't say I'd recommend it to anyone over 20 years old but I liked it more than I thought I would.

Watched an older movie online the other day: This is England. Story of a young boy who gets drawn into a nationalist "gang" during the 80s in England.

Somewhat interesting view of skinhead culture (in general, not just neo-Nazi types) and issues of nationalism.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
