I think Kemba will do jsut fine as a starting PG but Lillard is a better shooting and if you ask anyone who knows anything about the draft they say Lillard has a higher ceiling. However, I dont think we should take him at 6 if we had that pick. Great work Swedd! Gutted to see my boys Doron Lamb, John Jenkins and Jeff Taylor off the board at 31
    Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Kema Walker The Core, The Future...
    Bizmack Biyombo
    Jeffrey Taylor

Go easy on me, I'm from England, and no... I Don't love the Queen.

The stats are very similar in college with Lillard getting a slight edge his senior season. If we are comparing full careers the nod goes to Kemba. The only real glaring difference in the two is that one of those guys drug his team to a national championship ring.

Lillard is a fine prospect, but he is so similar to Kemba in every department it would be a waste of a pick in my opinion. And in my opinion Kemba projected MUCH better out of college for his command of the team. There is no vastly superior to it. And did I mention that Kemba is only 2 months older?
This. Drafting two lottery point guards in back to back seasons makes no sense.

Lillard is a MUCH better shooter and a better finisher. Is taller, weighs more, and has a longer standing reach & wing span.

Im a big Kemba supporter and think he will make a fine pro but I think Lillard will be an all-star with his overall game.

We will be getting rid of DJ soon.

And Lillard would arguably be the BPA if we traded our 2nd pick.

We are just going to have to disagree I guess. Because there is no evidence that Lillard is a MUCH better shooter than Kemba. Kemba over 3 years at UCONN averaged 43.4%. Lillard over his first three years averaged...you guessed it 43.4%. throw in his senior year(kembas rookie year) and his average goes up to 44.25%. How is that MUCH better? And since we are talking about a point guard here after all, lets talk assists. Over 3 years Kemba averaged 4.4 assists a game a stat that transfered to the pros because thats what he did last year in the nba. Lillard averaged 3.5 in 4 years time. Kemba averaged a full assit more per game. So as far as scoring point guards go Kemba was a much better prospect. And oh yeah he won a national championship showing leadership, maturity, poise and grace the whole tourney.

You may feel like Lillard is going to be a better pro but there is no evidence to back that up. But thats ok because I feel like Moe Harkless will end up the best player in this draft class without much evidence to support it. I just got a feeling. My point is that drafting him 6th when he is soooooo similar to Kemba would be wasting a pick. He may be the best pg in this class but if he would have gone to the nba when Kemba did he would have gone second round. Just not much to choose from this year.

Dion Waiters pulled out of the Combine and all team workouts because he was made a promise. He would not have done so if that promise was all the way back at #17, even if it is to the Mavs. Waiters is going inside the Top 10. Otherwise, there is no reason for him to pull out of all the workouts. Just interested to find out who made that promise.

I've read it could be Toronto.

This mock was compiled before the combine and before he pulled out

Figured. Was not meant as a criticism. Just an updated fact which would change the mock, that's all.
