It seems like everyone who knows anything about the guy thinks it's a good hire.

Everyone who has never heard of him thinks the world is imploding.

    Funny how that works.

I respect Ben too much to copy him.

(Nah I tried but couldn't type that with a straight face.)

Although I was too busy looking to see if Grgurich had a Wiki page to notice CG's tweet.

Jeff Goodman at CBS compares him to Tom Thibodeau of the Bulls. I like it. Hearing he is an excellent teacher of the game, and a terrific X's and O's man. And getting Gurgs as an asst on the team is huge! I am now fully on board with this hiring. Very stoked and excited about this coming season now!

I need to hear Cho and Jordan in the next couple days go on the WFNZ 610 and explain this and explain what he brings to the table...be honest if Shaw, Snyder, and Sloan turned us down...say that this just wasn't a cheap move on behalf of the franchise to save $ because the team will be awful for the next couple years...

I like the Tim Grgurich hire though...It looks like the Bobcats are picking of the George Karl coaching tree...are we going to play an uptempo Denver Nuggets style offense now? Just things I would like to hear...

Completely unexpected, but I feel good about it. You've got two guys who are used to teaching young talent. The George Karl endorsement is huge.

It's not a sexy choice, but this could very well be the best choice.

I wonder what this means for Tyrus? We have more money invested in Tyrus than any other player... I'm sure getting something out of Tyrus will be one of the challenges that MJ and Cho have given him.

This guy seems like a no nonsense, detail oriented coach and that seems like the direct opposite of Tyrus who isn't very disciplined and gets by on athletic ability alone.

I'm sure there will be fireworks between those 2

Tyrus is a space cadet, but it could be he hasn't excelled because the right coach hasn't been able to reach him. A detail oriented coach can also break down WHY something is important and needs to be done a certain way. My guess is that TT lasts a season, and then we make a decision on him. If he's declared uncoachable, eating two years of his contract is a lot more palatable than eating all three years left.
