I sure hope he's the right guy. Sounds like a smart guy who's a solid teacher of the game and a master of the x's and o's of the game...sounds good, but remains to be seen whether he's the right guy for the job. I'm not going to slight the guy because I don't know him. I wanted Shaw, but hey I am a fan of the Bobcats more than I am of Shaw. I support Dunlap and hope he's a huge steal!
What's funny is I just googled pictures of Dunlap and I instantly recognized him, I just don't remember where.

With the Xs and Os and all the teaching . Peoplle saying he has a great basketball mind . Has Chos footprint all over it . Not a popular choice but most likely the best choice . He sees things no one else sees . Lets just see what comes down..
Thanks Ammofan!
I still cant fathom that no one was making this much fuss when Mark Jackson was hired last year with no previous coaching experience. In fact many (myself included) praised it.
Let the shock wear off people. Sleep on this. I was shocked and pissed initially like most of us, but I am incredibly intrigued now. There's too many good things being said about Dunlap for us not to give him a shot.

After 3 pages of anger, I stopped reading the thread, so I apologize if I am piggybacking off anyone's comments up to this point. I am a little shocked because of the mention of the final 3 and not knowing enough about Dunlap as a coach. It's one thing to jump from college coach to NBA coach, but hiring an assistant in college to a head coach at the NBA level is kinda wacky, IMO. That being said, Dunlap's name was mentioned early on, so it's not like we were blindsided. Cho is an outside the box guy, so as much as everyone is blaming MJ, Cho had a lot to do with this. I'd rather trust Cho's logic, than claim Mike is cheap and shitty. Plus, all of those that rank on MJ for always hiring his cronies and his UNC crew, how can you in turn blast him for doing the exact 180 of that? Again..... patience is our mantra for 2012.
I was shocked that he came back into the picture to gain the job. I have no hate or disdain for him because I know nothing about him. I will support him, unless he starts fucking up.
its obviously not a money thing. we wouldnt have interviewed the other guys if we werent prepared to pay them. looks likea Cho move for sure
