Do you mean their salary? We're talking like 7 million total over 3 years between picks 2 & 15, or just around 2.3 million per year.

Not to mention there's reasons they pay those guys more. One is their "could" is a lot more feasible than the 15th pick's "could".

Most of the time, you're absolutely dead on. In this draft, I see no big difference between picks 2 through 5 and the 14th and 16th pick. If you believe in that thought, then you're ridiculous to draft someone in the top 5 if you have the ability to move out further in the draft. Don't sell short how much of a difference that amount of money you mentioned means to a young team like the Bobcats who with the right selections could be in position to use that money towards adding a huge difference maker.

Well you do have me as I don't watch college ball so I am going off of conventional wisdom. I do know that everyone says this draft is very deep in solid players but lacking in star power. There are generally accepted tiers though, and most agree that 2 thru 5 is a step above the other guys.

I won't say you're for sure wrong, but the chance to get a guy who at very worst is super 6th man but could be a once or twice (or more) all star vs. guys who project to be a 6th man and might become a good starter with a slightly better snowball's chance in hell of being an all star I'll take the higher pick. You can always trade for solid...not so much for the all star, and esp. not without paying a premium.

And you know what man, no one is wrong here. It's just my opinion that there will be super 6th men in the mid first round, but everyone has just as viable of an idea as I do.

This would be a big if.But if we did trade with cleveland for 4 and 24 and houston traded us 12,16,and 18,which is the picks they have.I would probably do it.I would go with one of 3 scenarios.

    A) Leonard @12
    Ross @ 16
    Harkless@18
    Sullinger @ 24
    Wroten@31

    B)Leonard @ 12
    Marshall@16
    Harkless@ 18
    Sullinger @24
    Jenkins@31

    C)PJ3 @ 12
    Marsahll@14
    Ross@ 18
    Miller or white@ 24
    Ezeli@ 31

Having said that,i think that there is a better chance of me walking out of my house and having a meteorite hit me in the forehead than us A) making all these trades and B)having the players we want @ all these spots.

    1. No thanks. That's way too low to drop. Quality over quantity

    2. Three is no way we, our any team is going to bring in 5 rookies from this class unless it's the top 5 picks
