I would love a Noel-Oladipo draft. But someone posted before that we only wanna bring in one rookie this year. Has this been reported anywhere?
OLADIPO IS GREATER THAN THE BEATLES! Seriously though, I really like this guy. I would rather have him than Henderson right now. His handles are better, he actually found range from 3 in college!, plays tenacious defense at all times (not just when his man has the ball), and I think he's more athletic. About the only thing Hendo has over him is a mid-range game and a longer neck.
Would I take him over McLemore? Probably not. Like Swedd said, it's all about the ceiling. But if we got any one of Shabazz, McLemore or Noel and picked up Oladipo with the Portland pick, I'd do a backflip. A smart team is going to get a great value pick drafting Vic 'Dipo and I prefer it be us.

The more I see Marcus Smart play the more I like him and want him to become a Bobcat. Anybody else feel the same way? If we had the #1 pick I would say draft McLemore, but if we get #2-4 I would like to see Smart. Right now he is averaging 14.2 PPG, 5.9 RPG, 4.7 APG, and 3 SPG. He's not a very good 3 point shooter though at only 27.7%. Draftnet compares him to James Harden and I like the comparison. I think Smart can be a really good 6th man in the league and definitely can start if we wanted him to, but I think he would benefit the most being the 6th man. With him being the 6th man we could re-sign Henderson and make him the starter.
I don't really agree with the Harden comparison.
I've been a fan of Harden going all the way back to ASU when people were saying he was too fat and unathletic to be a good player. Now he's one of the most explosive and efficient scorer/shooters in the league.
Smart doesn't have the same mentality as Harden. He's more of a facilitator that scores when needed while Harden is a scorer that can set his teammates up.
I have a hard time finding a real clear comparison for Marcus. Maybe a Billups without the jumper?

McLemore dropped 30 on KState last night. As much as I want Shabazz to be our SG, reason keeps telling me that McLemore is the better pick for our team. A true shooter at the 2 makes our team so much better between Kemba and MKG.

I see quite a lot of similarities between Mclemore and Beal. Beal may have a few better handles and be slightly more athletic but similar height and abilities
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Kema Walker The Core, The Future...
Bizmack Biyombo

Go easy on me, I'm from England, and no... I Don't love the Queen.
Beal is the better ball handler and probably has a better body since he's more sturdily built, but there's no question in my mind that McLemore is the better athlete and a slightly better scorer.
Nerlens was carried off the court apparently it was a knee injury.
Not really interested in him anymore. We'll see how this injury pans out but I'm fearful of drafting an extremely skinny big man that has had knee problems at the age of 18.
Prayers go out to Noel
BRING BACK THE BUZZ 2014 ANDREW WIGGINS TAKEOVER
I would hardly call running into the padding after chasing down a GUARD on a fastbreak and blocking the shot "having knee problems". The injury looked bad but there is no telling what it could be just yet and whether or not it will be a problem in the future.
Either way, I hope he gets better. He has a ton of potential and I hope he reaches it, whether for us or someone else. And if you question his potential, look at the very play he got hurt on. Seriously. The way he chased down the much smaller player and blocked the shot was a thing of beauty. It sucks that guys who put in that much effort to play the game hard are the ones who get these types of injuries (MKG, G-force, now Noel). I really hope he gets better.
