Marcus Smart playing on ESPN2 right now. Got 3 fouls in the first 2.5 minutes. Ouch.

Ben McLemore would fit perfectly into our team with Kemba as the point guard !!

And he is hell on defense!

As most of you know I'm not a huge college basketball aficionado, but why is it that people aren't ranking him right up there alongside Shabazz and McLemore?

    Please Explain.
I've been a fan since the first Indiana game I tuned into earlier this season. Dan Dakich said that Oladipo was the best player on the team and he was right. He is still right. Oladipo has never disappointed. His biggest knock is that he's a junior. It's taken this long for him to fall into the limelight b/c he was unjustly in Zeller's shadow this season. He doesn't have the sexiest upside of a McLemore or Muhammad but this is one safe pick I would not be mad at Charlotte for making.

Thats why his fg% is so high as he just dunks the ball home, he is by no means the "go to guy".His 3 point shot has been spectacular, it sint the prettiest of strokes but he gets lots of open looks due to Cody Zeller drawing lots of doubles, still he has been knocking them down at a impressive rate. Right now think of him more of a Tony Allen type with a better jump shot, this might help:

I mostly agree with you but I wanted to respectfully disagree on a couple points.

*I think the reason why you don't see many drastic improvements out of 3rd year players in college is simply b/c most good prospects are drafted by then. Back in the day an upperclassman making a big improvement was the norm and why teams with juniors and seniors were more desirable. Just a commentary.

    Re: The bold,
Oladipo is arguably as much a go-to guy as anybody on Indiana. He does get a lot of buckets in transition, true, but he also gets a lot of them in iso situations when Indiana is struggling to create offense. Oladipo's ability to finish in traffic is MKG like, he actually reminds me a lot of Barbosa in this aspect. He plays a bit of combo guard and aside from Yogi Ferrell, who is often limited by his height, Oladipo is one of the few Hoosiers that can create his offense.

I dont see how the FO is gonna be able to pass up a scorer / go to guy like Bazz for a deadly shooting athletic SG like McLemore.

However, if for what ever we decided to snag Bennett first id wouldnt be mad with Oladipo with the TB's pick if we have it.

nm that wont even be an option now with Oladipo playing so well. will certainly be gone by 14ish.

I would be happy with Bennett or Smart.

I would be meh about McLemore or Noel.

I would be upset with Bazz.

Why would you be upset with Bazz? Averaging 18ppg as a frosh shooting 40+% from the arc and has a vast array of moves to get his shot off.

Honest question, have you watched Bazz play? Or are you going based off of stats and highlight vids?

No disrespect intended. But most people I know that have actually watched him play (myself included) are turned off by Bazz.

Yea ive watched around 3 UCLA games. I like what I see.

    Aggressive.

    Can create his own shot.

Shoots the ball better than ppl imagined coming out of hs.

Looks to be a true go to scorer.

You didnt really answer my question? I am gonna imagine it has something to do with his personality because his play has been pretty darn good.

He is the definition of a ball stopper. Once the ball touches his hands his teammates might as well head down the other end of the court. He is a chucker and throws up airballs because he is too confident in his shot. I see his ceiling being Rudy Gay- a guy who can put up a lot of points but very inefficiently.
