Honestly, I don't think it'd matter much what their defined position would be.
Both Olynyk and Noel have the size and coordination to athletically match up with just about any big in the league. While Olynyk might not be in the 99th percentile in terms of raw explosive ability, he's more than mobile (and intelligent) enough to not be outmatched. Even if it did become a problem, just switch him over to the other big and let Noel guard the Blake Griffin's of the world.
People are concerned about Noel's injury and the ability of him to play on day 1, but I think we're in the unique position to allow him to heal. Drafting Noel and Olynyk gives us the ability to continue the Bismack experiment (Kemba-whoever-MKG-Bismack-Olynyk) while also allowing Noel to work back into shape slowly to avoid the pressure of coming back too soon.
If any of the three prove to be better served as a bench option, then we finally have some frontcourt depth OR we can trade them for some need elsewhere, because bigs always have value. Kind of a can't lose situation in my eyes.
That's from a guy who was on the McLemore bandwagon months before he became a household name

Plus drafting Noel and letting him heal....we continue to suck at an epic level which also allows us more ping pong balls in the draft that will save a team. #Wiggins
what if we draft noel and he never lives up to anything?

At the very worst, Noel will bring solid defense off the bench who can also run the P&R. You can ask that question about literally every prospect though. Every single player in this draft has question marks.
I think Olynyk will be drafted anywhere from 8/15
Bobcats - Blue Devils - Panthers - Hurricanes
