Default Bobcats Interested in Michael Beasley

Unrestricted free agent Michael Beasley has been receiving interest from a number of teams including the Charlotte Bobcats, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns and Detroit Pistons, according to sources close to the situation. All of these teams have been in contact with Beasley’s camp and expressed interest in acquiring the forward either through free agency or a sign-and-trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

(would've added it to the sticky'd thread, but saw someone say we should make a thread for any legit news regarding each player as well)

Personally, I think this is stupid. Considering we could've already had him in for a "trial run," so to speak, when the Heat were dangling him for cap room around draft time a year or two ago... Whenever it was. SMH, so I don't know what to think about this.

I would have considered it before the draft, but now I don't know. Unless you plan on starting him at power forward, it wouldn't make a ton of sense to me.

I was thinking the same thing. We drafted two small forwards, and I think Beasley excels at the 3 more than the 4. Then again, he could provide that spacing that Dunlap wants at the 4.

Yeah not sure if we are the best fit for him or if he is the best fit for us. Sure he can play but...

Don't like it eighter, but look at it from a bright side, with all these interested teams, there is only a little chance that he'll come to Charlotte.

I think he'll end up in Dallas. Now that they've struck out on Williams and likely Howard too, they will probably overpay to land someone like Beasley.

I don't think he ads more than TT does to our team. Unless we get someone to take TT from us I think he is one of those guys you take a flier on and if the price is right than you consider him.

I don't want him, but he's worth looking at a cheap 3 year deal. Kemba, Gordon/Henderson, MKG, and Beasley would be a lot on the attack. Beasley might work at the four if MKG could make up for the rebounding and overall D. We'd be a very small team though.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
