So i saw a thread welcoming MKG, but I want to Welcome Jeff Taylor, he was a great value pick! I really believe this kid is going to be a surprise to all of the fans. But, he is a 2nd rounder so I can see people thinking "mehhh he is a nobody" so here are some interesting bits to learn about Jeff Taylor, I implore you to read this/listen/watch the links below if you have time and you will grow to love Jeff Taylor as well.
When Vanderbilt beat Kentucky in October Taylor had 18 points, 12 rebounds and 2 steals on 50% shooting. (in the same game MKG had 5 points, 5 pf and 2 TO in just 16 minutes while guarding Taylor)
When Kentucky beat Vanderbilt in February Taylor had 19 points, 14 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block. (MKG had 8 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assits)

To be fair, I think (not positive though) MKG was guarding John Jenkins most of those games. That's not to take away from Taylor. Just to defend MKG.
I love the offensive highlights just like the next guy but some of those defensive plays on the mix were amazing. I didn't know he was a 3x 1st team all SEC defense.
I thought D Brown was a great 2nd round pick but this guy might take the cake for sure.
In Cho I Trust!
I really like his defense and the way he gets out in transition. It's gonna be fun to watch the Cats go small this year. Hendo, MkG and JT on the court at the same time would be veeery interesting.
Yes, welcome to Charlotte Mr. Taylor!
I was very happy with getting Jeff at 31. There's no doubt that Taylor and MKG offer some exciting defensive versatility. I look forward to seeing this lineup at times:
Kemba
Taylor
MKG
Free Agent hopefully with offensive skills??
Biyombo
Agree. He actually reminds me of Thabo Sefolosha..good defense, good attitude, works hard, good shooter.. a steal at #31. A lot of mock drafts had him going as high as the early twenties. If he adjusts to the league as quick as i think he will, Gerald Henderson may be coming off the bench.
" It's rare i listen to people who never been in my position, a caterpillar can't relate to what an eagle envisions"
I think it was Hoopsworld that had Taylor going 19th in their final mock. Ideally he AND MKG will be on the court together.
Definitely love the value of the pick and think that with his athleticism that he can play the 2 often. I think the league is seeing a lot more of players that can play multiple positions, but not necessarily a defined "2" or a defined "4". Biyombo is very undersized for the center position, yet he plays it alongside Mullens who has the size like a center but is technically a PF. I think Taylor can run at SG with MKG at the SF spot and also play SF with Hendo at the 2. I think Taylor will be a good guy off the bench for a year or two, but I could see us having to make a decision on one of he, Henderson or MKG at the 2 and 3 after that. Too much talent and I don't think any of the three will be okay with a bench role down the road as they all should have the talent to be a starter.
Great value at #31. Glad to have him in Charlotte!
I must respectfully disagree.
Henderson, MKG, and Taylor could each get 32 minutes a night playing the wing spots. Just have Taylor filling in at both positions off the bench.
With the long NBA season and potential for injuries, you really need about 8 guys you would consider a starter....
