Dude, listen to that theme and the Dick Stockton narration. That's a masterpiece that NBC could never touch. I mean if you don't get moved by that theme then you have no pulse. I would use a taperecorder as a kid, tape that, and go out and shoot hoops to that...speaking of things that make me feel old.
I'll concede Bo was beastly on both Tecmo Bowls, though I preferred Sweetness in the original and Barry Sanders in Super Bowl, but there is no way NBA on NBC was better than on CBS!

Who remembers when cars were made out of actual metal?
I still remember when "The Blob" was the height of special effects in movies
I remember payphones and air at the gas station only costing .25 cent
Commercials on TV about cigarettes actually being healthy for you
It was safe to go trick or treating.....No razorblades in candy apples
80's cartoon violence
two hours of NWA wrestling on TBS saturday evenings at 6
and who know what these are45-record-adapter1.jpg

i'm only 20, but i already feel old when i learned that the Bobcats have two players younger than me (maybe more; haven't checked). i know Biz was younger, but MKG too? dang!
I feel old when I remember:
when it took 5 minutes to load a picture from an email...and everyone had a GeoCities page.
when every kid on the block had the teal Hornets sweatshirts
when it wasn't weird to play dodgeball at school
when tv wasn't in HD
when cell phones were used to actually call people
when home phones didn't have call ID
when everyone had 20 channels and didn't think they needed more
when Bill Clinton wasn't considered a perv
when people actually thought coke-bottle glasses were stylish
when people actually listened to cassete tapes
when long-distance calls were a big deal
when you could go on an airplane without being raped by security
when there was no such thing as a security line for major events or important places
when people blamed Columbine on video games.
I'm sure there's more but that's all I can think of now.
