Chris Paul and Melo both asked to be traded and wouldn't have resigned in their previous cities so they held more leverage than their respective teams. Bynum a) hasn't demanded a trade and b) hasn't said he wouldn't resign in LA. Completely different situations. And to even think he'd be willing to sign an extension here to play with a team featuring him, MKG, and..... yeah is beyond silly.
This has nothing to do with Bynum as a person. It's just a bad trade that makes no sense.
