    Default Haywood to the Bobcats

    Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine
NBA's 30 teams just notified that Brendan Haywood has been claimed on waivers by Bobcats
Solid pickup. Great size to backup Biz.

    EDIT:

    David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt
Mavericks will pay remaining $6.34M of Haywood's salary this season and $25.2M of guaranteed money left on his contract.
    David Aldridge ‏@daldridgetnt
Clarification on Haywood: Charlotte's winning bid was $2.05M per year. Minimum bid for Haywood for this season is $4.19M.

Bonnell seems to think he will start. I don't know if that means Biz comes off the bench, or slides down to power forward.

Yeah he should proably start. It looked like Biz was playing PF yesterday. I know the two aren't related but, I'd start Biz at PF.

i think biz would move to the starting 4, we don't need to sign anyone else......we wont make the playoffs either way.....like my friend mcbeastie said on twitter just keep the cap space no need for scola or humphires

    RB ‏@QC_RB
@rick_bonnell In place of Bismack? Or slide Bismack to PF?
    Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell
@QC_RB It's competition. About time they had some.
I think him calling Haywood the presumptive starter was premature. Competition sounds more accurate. Love this move, love this offseason.

The competition thing makes more sense. Now, if Jamison or Scola are the next targets, I'd be willing to bet that Diop gets the amnesty boot.
