Henderson is our starting SG until proven otherwise. The job is his and he hasn't done anything to jeopardize that.
With all this talk of what Dunlap will be able to do for Smack, Kemba, MKG, etc..., there doesn't seem to be a lot of conversation of how Henderson will improve under him. I personally think you are going to see a much improved Henderson from last year. Athletes in general should excel in his system and luckily, I put Kemba, MKG, Taylor, Henderson and Biyombo all squarely in that corner (maybe even Sessions and Gordon also).
With that being said, I just can't understand the "start Taylor" arguement. He is a 2nd round pick with exactly 1 summer league game under his belt. I am as excited as anyone about him but to suggest that he should be the starter doesn't make sense to me. Give him some time and let him earn the job if he can. That is a much better scenerio.

Generally speaking you might have a point, but you have to remb we are the nba's worst team ever so even marginal talent will have more importance on our roster than other teams.
You are looking at it from the wrong point of view. You need to look at it in is Taylor one of our 5-6 best players. Id say yes or pretty darn close to it. So I could see him starting or getting alot of burn.
As of right now id rate our players (on skill not potential)
1) Hendo
2) MKG
3) Gordon
4) Kemba
5) Taylor
6) Sessions
7) Brown
Mully
9) Thomas
10) Biz
As you can see we are def more guard /wing heavy.
I certainly dont view Biz as our 10th most important player and might would switch him and Thomas is Biz improves this year.
So you are going to bench our most talented player, by your own list, in order to start Taylor? If not, are you playing Hendo instead of Kemba at the point? Maybe Hendo instead of MKG at the SF? Obviously, you can't "start" someone without benching someone else.
Competition is a great thing. Let's let Hendo and Taylor get on the court at the same time before we decide that a 2nd round pick should start at SG going into next season.

Mully looking stylish
I don't understand this sudden serge of start Taylor, I understand he had 1 good summer league game, I'm excited about his potential also, but I want to see more out of a 2nd round pick before he is an instant starter. Heck, most late lottery picks have to really show something to start in the NBA.
As for the topic, I want Hendo to start, last year he was the best player on our team, he deserves to start the season at SG. Ben Gordon -may- be a better player, but I really want ben gordon as our 6th man. I think Ben Gordon has a shot at being top 5 consideration in the 6th man of the year award

Hendo is the starting sg. And Jeff Taylor isnt going to play sg for us. Jeez one game against the Kings summer scrubs and you guys have him in the hall of fame. I love what hes shown so far but playing him at sg on a team with hendo gordon williams isnt going to happen.
We only have two small forwards on this team and MKG isnt playing 48 minutes. They will split time at sf.
Relax. Maybe catch another game against summer scrubs before we have the Jeff Taylor vs Michael Jordan discussion.

I wonder if we can get Danny Green from San Antonio for Hendo in a trade.
I'm thinking we have our Danny Green in Taylor.
What's McCants up to these days, hell even he'd be an improvement
