As a young teenage speculator, I thought Liefield books would be worth a lot some day. (Plus, all of those boobs and guns!)

Sad business. GREAT read! The sad part of so much of that stuff for the better part of a decade was the story telling was terrible in favor of superficial crap. People bought tons of it, and, now, nobody wants any of it!

I dropped so much money on Marvel comics back in the day that its painful to think about now.

Looking back at those pics today, some of his artwork is embarrasingly bad.

I called a comic shop a couple of years ago to sell a chunk of my collection and the guy just told me they didn't need anything from 90s or later and didn't want much from the 80s either.
You know, the last 30 years of comics.

    DAMN YOU, VARIANT COVER!!!!!

One thing I've noticed about comics is that a lot of stuff that looks extremely cool at first glance is terrible and a lot of stuff that looks pretty bland or lame at first glance can be pretty awesome.

I'm so glad I went and read Moore's Swamp Thing, as that seemed like the goofiest thing in the whole world. Turns out, it's one of the best comic stories I've ever read.
