Based on the commercial we would have drafted the 2nd best player in the draft in 2029 (Watkins behind Meng Ling #1 overall)... so I think we probably did have to tank. And in true Bobcats fashion, after tanking the 2028 season... we still got screwed by Cyborg Stern and ended up picking second.

I think I'm gonna start writing Nike commercial fan fiction.

nah, the watkins pick was one we got in a trade with philadelphia that ended up only being top-1 protected in 2029 (it was top-10 in 2028, lottery protected in 2027 and 2026). ended up being a really lopsided trade in our favor.
