Bobcats to play in North Charleston, SC

Not sure if this is already common knowledge since I don't live in the Carolinas (yet), but I received an e-mail today about the 'Cats playing the Hornets in a preseason game in North Charleston, SC. Date is October 11th. Ticket pre-sale is going on now for season ticket holders. On sale to the general public August 20th at 10am. Hope some South Carolina fans get to check it out!

Preseason schedule is beginning to take shape:
10/09 vs Hornets in New Orleans, LA (via Hornets release)
10/11 vs Hornets in North Charleston, SC
10/16 vs Thunder in OKC (via Thunder release)
10/20 vs Pistons in Detroit (via Detroit News)
10/23 vs Heat in Raleigh, NC (via Bobcats)
+ 2 games in Charlotte, NC
+ (possibly) 1 more away game TBD

Some teams have already released their full preseason schedules. If the Bobcats have done this though, I haven't seen it. VERY possible it just slipped under my radar though.

This prompted me to check on the Raleigh game vs. the Heat...there's no seats available now for the first 25 or so rows which sucks since I haven't gotten mine yet.

I guess it's because of the Heat, but I am pleasantly surprised as it looks like we'll have a decent sized crowd.

If you go to north charleston be careful where you stay.It's like the detroit of the south.It's crazy ghetto and it smells like a giant fart with all the paper mills.I got sent there on business before thinking if was the same as normal charleston.Boy was i wrong! lol.

I might go to that. Only been to one Cats game before (the Magic game in Charlotte last year) and, even though it's preseason, this would still be fun to go to.

I have no idea who the opponents will be for the games @ Charlotte. Blazers, Bulls, Cavs, Celtics, Clippers, Grizz, Hawks, Heat, Hornets, Jazz, Kings, Lakers, Magic, Nuggets, Pacers, Pistons, Thunder, & Warriors have all announced their schedules and no trips to CLT.

Who could it be? I'm hoping for the Knicks, maybe Mavericks, but Wizards or 76ers seem more likely.

I'm assuming there has to be 2 games in Charlotte since it's included in the season ticket package (although I'm sure there's some fine print that protects them). Not a huge deal if there's not, but I always look forward to the preseason after the interminably long offseason.

After some extensive research, as you can see in the video below it seems that the North Charleston law enforcement have the situation well under control.
