Default Anthony Morrow talks about Charlotte (the city, not the team)

For those interested, SLAM Magazine (yes, I subscribe to SLAM... don't laugh) has a nice interview with new Atlanta Hawk, Anthony Morrow. It's entitled "Charlotte on His Mind" and is all about his love for the city (Morrow was born in Charlotte). Hopefully someone can find it online, but I'll transcribe a brief snippet:

SLAM: You have a lot of hometown pride.
AM: Yeah, man. I have a few Charlotte tattoos, North Carolina tattoos. My whole family's here, basically. This is my home, and Atlanta's like my second home.
He goes on to talk about growing up a Hornets fan, Hornets throwback gear, Starter jackets, being Mr. Basketball in North Carolina, and more. You can find the whole thing on page 30 of the September, 2012 issue. It's brief, but good.

Do people make fun of SLAM? I was thinking of getting a subscription, if only for the pictures/posters.

Is it not a good magazine anymore?

No, it's still good. My friends just kid me for still subscribing to magazines. Unfortunately, print media seems to be going the way of the Dodo, as the majority of readers prefer to consume their information via digital sources. I have no idea what those people read in the bathroom though. ;-)

In my opinion SLAM is a fantastic publication, so I'd recommend pulling the trigger on that subscription. Right now you can get 10 issues for $12.97, or 20 issues for $21.97. When it comes time to renew, they usually throw you an even better offer too.

I've found that reading it has really enhanced my enjoyment of games. Instead of seeing ESPN interview Kobe or Lebron for the 50th time, you get some insight into some of the lesser known players, which makes watching them a lot more compelling. I mean, ESPN was never going to interview Anthony Morrow and spend a bunch of time talking to him about growing up in Charlotte. I never even knew he was from CLT!

Nope, never knew. I don't live anywhere near Charlotte yet, and I've never used iTunes. Didn't know it was common knowledge to you guys in the area... Is there somewhere to just download an MP3 of the show you mentioned? I'd rather not go thru iTunes.
