If we're judging just on how good a player is, then it's Ben Gordon. Obviously if we take upside, contract, and youth it's obviously biz.

Ben Gordon can't defend the basket at all. He doesn't even know the meaning of help defense. I am not trying to dog him but Smack makes other people better on the defensive end of the court. That is a trait that is often overlooked.

Offensively, clearly Gordon is better but as far as overall impact to the game, I clearly give the nod to Smack.

Wait a minute now...that's not how I've been deciding my votes. I thought it was "best player right now" which would be regardless of his impact on the team.

I'm fine with my 1st 3 votes but if the criteria is impact/value on the team then I want to switch this one to Biz.

best overall player is probably Biyombo but because of Gordon's experienced i would put him just ahead

I'm just applying a different concept of the term.

Brain wins, but I'm firmly in the camp that it's only for the present.
Totally with you on this one, bud.

As for the polls, I've been voting (missed out on #2) for best player, which is why I couldn't vote MKG at 1, nor Biz here, despite my wishes to do so.

    Gotta be Ben.
As Chef said, if we're talking potential, Biz would be no.1 on this list hands down (only one who would even come close would be MKG).
Instead we're talking best player at this point in time.
