That CLE trade would have to have been Reggie Williams if it was an "R" or "B"...else it would have been beyond horrible for us.

I'm glad we stuck with the 2nd pick.

Want to see this doc now!

Yeah, glad we stuck with MKG. While it was one preseason game, he was clearly a difference maker, and that's all I care about for this team at the moment. I don't think we're winning a championship this year or next, but a lot of pieces are coming together nicely for our future success. (And present entertainment!)

No chance, not even if it was Reggie.

Minnesota: 2, Matt Carroll [arrow] 5, 2 future 1sts, Wes Johnson
Not possible. Sacramento had the 5th pick (Thomas Robinson).

Houston: 2, Tyrus Thomas, Matt Carroll [arrow] 12, 16, 18, Chandler Parsons, Kyle Lowry
This one has me curious from a salary cap standpoint. Lowry is instantly the best PG our franchise has had and is young enough to make Kemba expendable. Parsons is a solid, if unspectacular, prospect. Jettisoning deadweight Tyrus and Carroll is all sorts of positive. Jeremy Lamb, Royce White, and Terrence Jones are some pretty good prospects, with Lamb having legitimate star potential. Not a bad return.

That trade boils down to how much Cho likes MKG. Apparently a lot.

    Houston: 2, Tyrus [arrow] 8, 12, 16, Parsons
Not if the other one is on the board.

If the trade occured, we didn't have to choose the same players as Houston did.

Draft night trades involving picks usually aren't agreed upon until after all teams pick. Remember when we traded for Bismack? Not finalized until after the picks were made-that's why his pictures were in a Kings hat.

True, but the trading team can have some sway on the picks made so they can get the guys they want. That being said, those three would have been a great hall.

why would the Kings take Biyombo after they selected Cousins the year before with Kemba and Knight still available ?

Because trades involving picks usually don't go through until you know you can get the player you want. Our trade that got Bismack wasn't finalized until after the 19th (!!!) pick was made

Agreed. 24 isn't worth the drop off.

You're assuming Minny didn't have a trade lined up to get #5. You know how all the contingency trades work.

This was before the draft started. Thus, the player selected at those spots would've been our choice, not Royce/Lamb/Jones. I think this is a trade a team makes to be a playoff team, but not a championship caliber one.

Yeah, if he didn't feel like #2 was a franchise piece that was a good trade.
