Maybe he can give us something, but I won't hold my breath.
Okay, so I'm pretty over Tyrus Thomas. Yeah, he was a key piece on my NBA 2k11 dynasty team, but back in the real world he is the guy who got shoved into a locker by Paul Silas, and once stood next to a friend of mine while they both peed into urinals and yelled, "What up boy!" (True story). Basically, he is a headcase, and I want him gone.
Then I read this: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/201...a-rebound.html
Dunlap likes him so much he flew out to Baton Rouge once a week. He talks about focusing on his strengths. And on top of that, we learn stomach ulcers caused him to lose all that weight.
The point I'm making is maybe, just maybe, he becomes a positive for this team. I don't mean a 17 and 9 kind of guy, those dreams are over. But could he, at the very least, provide some sort of spark to where we can all feel slightly okay whenever he comes into the game?
I know these expectations won't come true, but seriously, I'm not asking much this time.

Maybe he can give us something, but I won't hold my breath.
I'm still really rooting for him. I think he's going to have a surprising year.

imma one of the biggest sessions, hendo, and tyrus advocates in world. i truly believe sessions is a top ten point guard because he does everything right, i think hendo is an all-star in the making , and last tyrus....i mention numerous times that tyrus just didn't look healthy or athletic last year . he ended the 10-11 season with a torn meniscus and began the 11-12 missing the first 3 weeks with an ulcer and he rushed back out of position(sf).u know something was wrong when tyrus dunks where getting blocked and he was taking games off for rest .
despite what everyone feels , i always felt tyrus was a top 15 defender who was a high volume shot-blocker,steals,and an good rebounder. the tyrus of old could block a dunk and be the first down the court (seen him do it multiple times with bulls) and last year he just looked lazy/exhausted.
imma be honest tyrus doesn't look 245, more like 225 but a healthy 225, thats still small but u cancel mismatches by creating a zone. i viewed tyrus like a 6'10 gerald wallace because tyrus was athletic but was blue collar player. with hendo, mkg, and tyrus in a zone i think gives us more steals ,fast breaks, and a fast/scrappy team..
i know everyone is like its only training camp but if kemba can play ok at best against d-league(summer lg) talent and mkg can score 32 against old college alums, then i can rave about tyrus actually playing against real nba players .basically im not saying he'll be an all-start but an healthy tyrus is definitely an nba stater.its funny how fast ppl can disregard being healthy is,its so wierd like athletes shouldn't feel pain . i cant wait till the season starts so that i can say i told ya so but i'll take the article as an quick reminder that i wasn't to far off .
Tyrus on the fast break is the most painful thing to watch idk what Dunlap has been lookin at.

i pray that he does, this maybe his last chance to keep his few Cats fans left. Felt somewhat bad for him last year trying to play thru a illness since I was going thru one myself. I hope playing for coach Dunlap brings it out of him. He played decent under LB and I look for him to do the same under Dunlap. Which other coach has he succeeded under.
I think Tyrus will respond well to Dunlap as he's doing the same that Larry Brown did; show him that he sincerely cares about him and let Tyrus know that the tough love he's getting will be as good for him as it will for the team.
Hope Resurrected: "I think I can bring an attitude to a team as far as, ‘All right, no matter what, we are not losing this game'." - Kemba Walker
"Its okay to be bad; just so long as you're bad ass." - Keetch
Did anyone read what he was saying on the media day bobcats chat? I found it still very immature and like nothing had changed, just the whole vibe he gave off when answering questions sounded like he didn't want to be there and was just doing it because he had to where as others seemed genuinely excited to be part of the bobcats and connect with the fans.
