Henderson and Carroll are fine. We have such young (or questionable) guys that it makes sense for these two to be captains. Ben Gordon, Kemba, or Haywood would have been good choices too, but I don't think they wanted to burden Kemba with that this early in his career. Hendo and Carroll have been with the franchise longer, worked hard all summer, and seem to be actual leaders, even if Carroll isn't that high in the pecking order of rotation players. Remember though: this team is as much, if not more, concerned about what our guys are doing outside of games as they are the games themselves. In that sense, Carroll will be practicing, training, and working out as much as anyone.

Definitely, it was just funny that one guy thought Hendo wasn't a captain, then the next guy called him Henson.

As stated before, shared between Carroll and Henderson.
If being captain makes Henderson take that next step, then sure as hell I'm happy for him to be captain. Would be the only logical choice also really, since he's a starter and only one who's been a Bobcat for a while now.

It is surprising that Carroll is made one of the captains. He is not a starter and really is not an asset to the organization. I do think he cares about the organization, as last season I always saw him up from his seat and cheering his players on. Unless Carroll is a good motivator to the players, making him one of the captains does not make sense to me.

I see it as Carroll being the 'franchise' captain and Hendo the 'playing' captain. From all accounts and everything I've seen, Carroll is a quality individual who is very good in the locker room. I would assume this move also signals our interest in having him stay with us as a coach. Therefore his captaincy role is effectively to act as a bridge between coaches and players.

Yeah, it's been like that since he got here. If there was ever a public message at the arena, Carroll was normally the one to deliver it. I give him more player props than most, but he seems to have added value as a locker room/work out/good will type.

Dunlap has preached a change or development of his 'culture'. I can definitely see where Carroll's interaction and presence has aided the Dunlap staff in getting buy-off with this culture. Players will almost always be more accepting of a teammate over a coach.
