Honestly I'm okay with this, all the coaches and players seem to love him and minus the year and a half in Dallas he's been a Bobcat forever. Can't argue with selecting Hendo either.

I'd prefer a starter (one who could lead by deeds as well as by mouth) and odds are Carroll won't see the court hardly at all being how he's near the bottom of such a deep rotation. I don't think it's that big of a deal either way tho.

A bench captain and a starter captain I suppose. Matt Carroll is a hard working player who has a great work ethic. I'd love if other players followed his example.

His example of what? Getting drafted by an expansion team and getting them to sign you to ridiculous contract extension before they get any good talent and realize you're a d-league player? What an inspiration! lol.

We did not draft him in the expansion draft, hewas one of our first free agent signings, but unless he improves and fights for minutes, he will be the bench warming captain in charge of the towel boys and Diop, making him have fresh gatorade ready the real rotation players. He earned it though organizational respect. Hope this doesn't mean we are guaranteed to hold on to him during the season and afterward.

Team had no problem sending off Crash and Jack, and both of those guys were captains and actual team leaders.
