obviously im one of hendo's biggest supporters along with dav7z,step jack, and maybe few others. so far all my predictions are looking true. hendo looks like a top 20 player, sessions is our best choice at pg , tyrus looks to be old tyrus, and taylor won't avg any minutes.
hendo has the skill set to avg 25 points a game if wanted , but he has a team concept mentality . even before the preseason game you can see that he scores at will with multi ways of scoring, he can pull up, come off screens, drive and he even looks to have the jordan/kobe post game going. that doesn't sound nor looks like a avg player. i said that i can see hendo becoming our primary or secondary ball-handler( Who Should Start For The Bobcats This Season ? post) and he was with 3 assist(2nd on the team),grabbed 4 rebs and a block shot and scored 19 points (6-14 shooting) against wash.i can care less if we played against the wizards and wall was injured because in reality wall is good at best(cant shoot ,makes bad decesions ,and he doesn't have any shooters around him when he penetrates).so, if ya can glorify walkers sucky summer lg perfomances against d-lg talent or think a 2nd round player in taylor was going to start or even take minutes away from hendo because of an successful college career . then i can gorify an pre-season game against real nba talent . and speaking of taylor i stated that he'll be lucky to avg 10 min a game because even when mkg comes out they will slide hendo to small and gordon to sg(dashglobals lineup and rotation thread) and bingo! thats whats happened in the presason . sessions had a good preseason and walker did to but the difference is that sessions plays good all the time and we'll be lucky if walker can duplicate that .
don't get me started on how many ppl actually think mkg is our best player smh . mkg is new and every gts caught up in the hype , but thats not to disregard him because i think mkg is good and adds about 10 wins to our team or more but common better than hendo.
i got alot more points to prove but i'll like to hear some replies before i write an page long thread bascially saying im leaning closer to being rite and some of ya leaning more towards to being wrong . also hendo is worth 10-12 mil on the open market ,definitely if batum avg 13 pgs ( 40+ mil contract) , gordon( 50+ mil and been injury prone),and landry fields ( 20 mil 3 yr ) , i know hendo is commanding big money and he's an all-around player.

wait henderson top 20 player? hahahahhaahhah cmon get serious now
Hendo needs to get his efficiency up to be recognized as actually good. He put 15/4/2 or whatever last season but when he's doing it at 51% TS he looks like what he was...the best scorer on a really, really bad team. If he's really taken the next step in his career from decent role player to solid starter/fringe all star he needs to be more in the area of 18/5/3 with a TS more around 54-55 range, cause if he's not going to be a volume guy he should at least be efficient. Both those problems will take care of themselves if he can just figure out hwo to hit the 3ball and FT at a semi respectable rate. 23% from 3 and 76% on FT from a SHOOTING guard just plain isn't good enough.

I won't argue with you about Henderson being a top 20 player (mainly because too many people already did), but I don't think Hendo is going to steal that much minutes away from Taylor and Kidd-Gilchrist at the three spot, especially since Dunlap shared his thoughts about playing small ball.
... and hendo's post game is hardly apparent let alone on par with Jordans or kobe's.
Hendo is a solid player and does a lot for the team but to say he could erupt for a 25PPG season is ridiculous, only 4 players in the NBA average 25PPG, Lebron ,Durrant, Kobe, and K-Love. The last two doing so relatively innefficiently.
" if ya can glorify walkers sucky summer lg perfomances against d-lg talent or think a 2nd round player in taylor was going to start or even take minutes away from hendo because of an successful college career . then i can gorify an pre-season game against real nba talent .
I really can't remember anyone on this board using Kemba's summer league performance to state that he will be the franchise leader/ Future 25 point scorer. Most posts on here ended with but it's only summer league if I can remember correctly or "take this performance with a pinch of salt". I don't remember everything that's said on this board so if you come up with an example i'd happily retract my statement. Also what kind of logic is that, we glorified Kemba so now Hendo = 2nd coming of Jordan. You've even admitted in your post that you are glorifying Henderson "then i can gorify an pre-season game against real nba talent ."
Another thing "Sessions plays good all the time". I know this point must've been beaten to death but Denver, OKC he was found out slightly on the defensive end.
Lastly: Those contracts you have picked out are completely incomparable to Hendo's future contract.
The last 2 are probably deeply regretted by the team that signed off on them and in Field's case the Raps were more interested in financially crippling the Knicks than the player. With Batum his contract is a massive risk and SF's that play lockdown D and shoot the 3 and have elite athleticsm/upside are really hard to find.
Tbh I like hendo i'm just not ready to anoint him a 25PPG scorer and believe in the fact that he is the saviour of the franchise.
Oh and btw look at how much OJ Mayo is earning, he's scored 17PPG in his sophomore season at a decent clip, he's a + player on D ,has far better ball handling skills than Hendo and is a 38% shooter from distance for his career. How much is he earning 4mil a year. I'll admit he's a steal at that price but I wouldn't be comfortable paying hendo much more than that unless he breaks out.
In Cho we trust
I think Hendo is a top 20 SG ;p
LOL...don't you just love threads saying "I WAS RIGHT!!!" after 1 preseason game? I know I do! Still, lots better than the "HE SUCKS" thread which could be happening...so what the hell.
Inquiring minds have to know however...was it the stellar 5 for 12 shooting or the stupendous 1 to 1 assist to TO ratio that convinced the OP to declare Sessions our best PG? I don't know that Sessions won't be the best PG on the roster, but declaring him that after the 1 preseason game with subpar stats playing against the Wizards' 2nd string players who had no bigs to speak of?
Yeah.
Hope Resurrected: "I think I can bring an attitude to a team as far as, ‘All right, no matter what, we are not losing this game'." - Kemba Walker
"Its okay to be bad; just so long as you're bad ass." - Keetch
O.K., that'll be the last thank I'll use on this post, but I still can't disagree with them. If you think Gerald is going to be a top 20 player this year and no argument can change your opinion, I envy you for your hard-headedness ( I couldn't think of an other word to describe it), but please, if he's that good you don't have to convince us all of the time; let his actions do the speaking. You can laugh at us when you're right at the end of the year, but right now, you're just being silly.
Looks like GIT needs a little more training. 1 preseason game in and he's made his mind up about everything haha
